  • I can do backflips off of jumps outside of the park, i just dont want to land on hard snow/ice.

  • @RSTeamFilms Hahaha physics ftw! haha that made my day. and got you a new sub.

  • @mdver34 Score!

  • will try!!!

    maby not..

  • Step1: Practice on a trampoline "Nice I got this!"

Step 2: Build a medium sized kicker "Shit this is the east coast :("

  • My friend did backflip in a big jump for the first time and didnt know how much speed he needed. He overrotated and landed on his back. Broked arm, 2ribs and a crack in his ankle :-)

  • @Noikolom That's a good reminder to all of us that progression is key and that skiing is a dangerous sport. Hope your friend has a speedy recovery and will be back on the slopes soon.

  • @Noikolom Sucks i got a concussion trying a double backflip on a trampoline

  • @Noikolom What the hell was the landing like? Flat ice?

  • lol i don't want to sound like a nerd but i remember learning in calculus how tucking in would actually speed up the rotation. That's how figure skaters speed up and slowdown there static rotations.

  • @MaaNonu123 Yup, that's why on bigger jumps you won't see people tuck nearly as much. Same thing on spins, bring in your elbows and feet together to spin faster. Physics ftw!

  • looked awesome, great vid. im sure it helped alot of people

  • @RSTeamFilms im gonna go try this but do you think its easyier the first tiem without poles?

  • so it's like a tramp scary at first but easy

  • YEAAAAAAA did my first backflip yesterday! landed on 2nd attempt

was on a kicker a bit steeper than normal like you did, next step will be popping hard and doing on normal kickers. i found it quite easy, i cant even do 360s very well

  • @Tijdschrift17 Nice!!

  • Do you pop?

  • @Jamez1818 Yup.

  • @tommybummy. Yep. I have a trampoline and i didnt even think of it till after. I failed my backflip, but i was close.

  • Alright i can do 3's 270 outs but i really want to progress and i have NO WHERE where i can practice on a trampoline should i just give it a go??

  • @tommybummy Hell ye

  • I just did my first backflip yesterday check it out on my channel

  • i am so scared to do my first flip i wanna do a rodeo 540 or should i do a frontflip for my first time.

i can do double rodeos on trampoline, and rodeos and frontflips off of ledges is it any different with skis on, if so how is it different.

  • @camsteeze try that for your first flip on ski's and you will probably kill yourself.

  • @ISkiSAjj ok i am going to a airbag today so i will see what flips are easier

  • @camsteeze A flip on trampoline is VERY much the same on skiis. Just be confident. You know the trick on trampoline, then you can easily throw it on skiis.

  • What is easier front flip or back????PLZ answer

  • @LilSteezy802 Some people think the front flip is because you can kinda see where you're flipping more so than a backflip. I just think the motion of a backflip is easier. Give them a try and tell us what you think.

  • @LilSteezy802 Front flip: hard to flip easier to land. back flip: easier to flip hard to land.

  • @LilSteezy802 I think a backflip is easier cause you can spot your landing and therefore you have more controll. On the other side your body is for a longer period of time in a dangerous position - so if it goes wrong - the chance to land on your head is higher. That's the reason why I started with fronts - took less balls. In powder you can just tuck your head and in the worst case you land on your back. In powder u can do that with almost no speed and height.nex try u go faster/higher..done

  • Hey, If i have a jump this size in my backyard would a backflip be about the same as a 540? If not what?

  • @mozzez2 Difficultywise? I'd say a 5 is harder. More like a 3... same thing on a different axis.

  • Comment removed

  • is it like on a tramp scary at first but then easy

  • @LilSteezy802 I'm planning on doing my first backflip (snowboard) once more snow falls, but my friend has done it on skii's and he says they're harder than 360ing but easier than 540ing. It's also his first year skiing. He says theyre easier than you'd expect. good luck man!

  • this guy has no idea what he's doing

  • @ThePlatypus23 yeah, the guy who can successfully and easily backflip on skis has no idea what hes doing.

  • how big is your kicker

  • i get this weird stomach feeling right before jumping.

  • i don't get it.. who would dislike this?

  • I am going to try learn how to do this on skis either this season or whenever i grow a pair too do it. But i can do this fairly well on a trampoline, and i can do a gainer of about a 20 foot gap into a foam pit, do you think it will be similar on skis?

  • @Antwooon9 I think it's even easier.

  • it is as easy as taking a back flip on a trampoline?

  • @eivindtlknutsen Pretty much!

  • that jump is so smood!

  • i just think about it and cant do it i feel like i will land on my face how to tall and what dimensions should i make the jump

  • @camsteeze Pretty much anything will do. The smaller the jump, the more you tuck. The bigger the more smooth and laid out it will be.

  • @JustForComments85 If i cant do a backflip on a trampoline then shuld i not try it but fo front flips i can do them very easyly* which should i try first

  • @xHockeykid4x Whatever you feel more comfortable with?

  • i dont know if i can do a backflip on a trampline but ill try on skis

  • 2 questions is it harder to do a front flip or back flip on skis and if u land on your head will u 100% break ur neck?

  • @xHockeykid4x It's easier to do a backflip because when you go off the jump you are already a quarter of the way done and your body is flung into the backflip already. Frontflips you have to reverse the motion if you're going off a jump and it's a lot easier off a drop to do a front flip and no it's not 100% but you could I'm not going to lie. Most likely you wouldn't land of you head at all.

  • im relly scard to do it i can do it on a tramp but its diffrent but im 9 so im gowing to do a front flip this winter

  • ive tried 3 backflips in the last two years, and i need to admit its more easier than i thought... but i just dare doing it at the end of the ski-holidays so that i can drive the whole holidays without being injured.

btw. i failed it 3 times, but it was close and didnt hurt that much ;)

  • My motto: just do it! Dont pussy out... You break a bone I'll get chicks all over ya :)

  • i have yet to backflip on skis but i can do em in my sleep on a trampoline, off a slackline, and almost on the ground. Theyre half as hard as the are scary. Just balls up and do it

  • is it as easy doing in on skis as it is on the trampoline ????

  • @keithomccabe08 Almost, just a lot scarier the first time.

  • i can do them easy on a trampoline , but dont know weather to go for it on ski's ?

  • @dallas3yn Just have to ask yourself if it's worth the risk. Ski for yourself and do what makes you happy.

  • @RSTeamFilms thanks man ill prob go for it !

  • @RSTeamFilms I wanna do it but whats the worst that can happen to me?

  • @theproudONE92 break ur neck

  • @dallas3yn

Well it depends how much balls you have. I did my first rodeo on skis last winter and it wasn't that scary.

And if I can help with that backflip problem of yours I can tell you the most easy way to do it on skis, make sure your head isn't in the same line as your body, and when you start to rotate make sure you are leaned bit to right ( helps you to spot your landing mroe easy) and move your other hand under your kneecaps and there you go you stomped it. Sorry for poor english.

  • if i messed up on my trampoline and landed on my neck, would i break it???

  • make more plz. this is pay dirt.

  • Any pointers if you're trying to do one off a kickerless drop? Say 8-10 ft high.

  • @TheDeranged123 It's pretty much the same as a gainer. You're gonna have to throw it a little harder and tuck like a mofo to get around in that short of time. A little bit of speed is gonna be your friend. Make sure you check your landing, lots of unknowns out there.

  • @RSTeamFilms "throw your head and start to throw your head back so the rest of your body will follow" ehhhhhh wrong.

  • @mogulbros123 What do you do differently? I find that if lead any rotation with my head it turns out much smoother. Just curious, this is by no means the end all, be all of backflip tutorials.

  • @RSTeamFilms its actually easier to do if you throw it with your core. not your head.

  • @HOOBLAposse Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely be trying different ways this winter. Can't wait for snow!!!

  • I know what I'm trying to do this season...wish me luck so I don't end up with a broken neck... :D

  • is over rotating a potential problem?

  • @skibumwin It definitely can be as you go bigger. The tuck becomes less exaggerated and the extension when you spot your landing to slow your rotational becomes more critical. The tails of your skis help to a degree but just start small and progressively go bigger.

  • I did it yay me!!!!!

  • @tdog13045 Haha, sweet! Congrats!

  • Make more of these awesome vids =]

  • Nice make more of these awesome vids :)

  • all you need is balls
