I think they made the right choice, doing another version for the album. I think this version is good, but just lacks the bite that the album version has.
Um, if a band changes their sound to something which is worse than what it was before then that means they suck. and Kings of Leon used to be so much better. Compare this to fuckin Use Somebody. No contest.
@CR4GETH Hell I'd probably do the same thing, they had their fun, think about it. You make it, you live the rock and roll life for years making great tunes, why not make a bunch of money after wards to top it off?
how many times did the Stones change their style? or Bob Dylan? Every one was moaning when Dylan plugged in at Newport back in '65. Many blues purists complained when they Stones moved away from pure blues. How remembers these controversies now? So long as the songs remain good who cares if they tinker a little. They been playing since 1999 (not a new band), they want a new challenge...good for them. In no way can Only By Night be considered a commercial sell out. Give them a chance!
@christomacin the stones are a great example. they did blues, rock n roll, country, phsycodelic, disco, pop, even when punk was at its peak they put out 'some girls' an album with a couple punk songs. so everyone lets not complain about changing sounds or styles when the greatest rock n roll band of all time did it plenty

@theboner123, as much as I don't like to use reviews to judge an opinion the reviews show their first album is still their best rated with a 79 on metacritic and their newest album has just above a 60. Not that they're bad or anything, better than rap that's for sure, it's just they're basically not as good.
