  • I WANT it!! ^^

  • I'm a vet nurse in a country town.I have just acquired 5 Orphaned Sugar Gliders. They're tree was cut down today and an adult male was killed and about 3 other adults fled. The guys who cut the tree down brought them in as they were quite exposed to predators.Wildlife rescue are taking them tomorrow. They are adorable.I hope they make it.

  • @supawitchming69 Oh, the poor things. Tree felling has such awful consequences!!! At least the guys brought the babies in to you. Fingers crossed for these little ones. They would also need to be kept quite warm in this climate (we usually keep them in a humidcrib).

  • my sugar glider just ate a tube of superglue! lol they can eat anything so easy to look after <3 xxx oxox

  • @ilikethingsfromjapan You're a terrible pet owner and I'm surprised your glider isn't dead. If you haven't killed it yet I'm sure it isn't long before you do.

  • @ilikethingsfromjapan ... You're not serious, are you?

  • @RawrTheWorldGoesBOOM :( he died literally seconds after that comment... i accidentally trod on his head and he got stuck to my shoe. ive had 3 other ones since but they must all be bad cuz they died two... i dun understand i keep them in the fridge like they tell me. gunna get some more in a few days... getting real pissed off now :(

  • @ilikethingsfromjapan Obvious troll is obvious.

  • What are they made to do and what's the breed?

  • He's the cutest little guy evar!

  • they live longer in captivity and live happier lives

  • @slayershayne if you treat them well;) i have 2 of the little stinkers and my female, Gracie is not so graceful, she was given to me by someone that had her but could no longer take care of her. i guess it just takes time to get used to a new owner, thats how it was with my male too. he had 4 owners. im glad i got them though. :D

  • actually they are quite bigger than a grain of cooked rice.

  • Please don't do this at home. Sugar Gliders are born, then go into the pouch, but they are only the size of a grain of COOKED RICE, very small for a mammal. They're digestive system is undeveloped. They are ABSOLUTELY RELIANT ON THEIR MOTHER'S MILK!!! They can ONLY properly Sugar Glider Milk. This 'Glider was orphaned and would have died UNLESS they hand fed it. The nipple swells to fill their mouth, and it's difficult to get them off a nipple. Pls wait the 72 days to hand feed.

  • Gliders, possums, etc, are wild animals and should be left in the wild and NOT kept as pets. The possum was hand-reared after its mother was killed and then released back to the bush.

  • @koalawrangler Wild animals are animals that are bred in the wild. The sugar gliders kept as pets aren't wild and if they were put in the wild they would die.

  • @KestrelJames are you a sugar glider expert or what?

  • omg i love sugar gliders ur sooooooo lucky to have one ...... can i have one plzzzzzzzz =]

  • i love sugar gliders i have a couple =D

  • You named yours shoogie? I named mine Daisy, but i call her shoogie

  • i have a sugar glider named shoogie

  • @philippebethany aww, how cute :D

  • whats wrong with him?

  • Absolutely nothing. Just an orphan, as I said above. He was kept in a humidicrib and fed regularly to simulate life in the pouch, or else he wouldn't have survived. He was released long ago though and is still seen by the folks whose property abuts the bush he lives in.

  • cool that so so cute

  • From what I recall, this was one of two rescued from a dead mother's pouch. One of the possies failed to thrive and died, but this one survived. It was released to bushland but the carer still sees it from time to time apparently!

  • Any updates on his status. Hand raising suggies is very difficult I give you guys a lot of credit. I had a mother reject two for some reason they killed one and abandoned the other. I tried raising him but wasnt succesful and felt horrible, it was just very difficult it was his second day out of the pouch. How long does it usually take before you dont have to stimulate their bathroom breaks?

  • Adorable!!! <3

  • r u giving him vitamins? what kind? he's so adorable...

  • it's a magway

  • aw I hate when there ears are down.... :(

  • I almost bought a sugar glider as a pet. I bought birds instead. They had a cage but the door was always open. I believe in letting them roam free as long as it's safe. You have a kewl job. A volunteer job will oneday lead to a paid position. Keep up the good work!

  • haha Ironic. I almost got a bird and got a glider instead =P

  • fake

  • how is it fake?

  • I tried to make a joke. im sorry?

  • haha ok.

  • How awesome! When they are that size and still have food all over their fur from being hand fed is their cutest stage for me... Coz they crab and hate you, until the syringe comes and its foodies time! LOL

  • Possy is a real cuteeee!

  • hehehe, he stinks of CUTE! :D
