• AMAZING JOB :)

  • Very well done! My school is doing this, and it is my favorite number besides Brotherhood of Man. One thing that we did was really effective was during the "And when my faith in my fellow man" part, we had the other men come up behind him with knives. And the kazoo part we had him shaving. Otherwise I thought yours was really awesome!

  • this is probably my favorite song from this musical. we're doing this musical now, and the kid playing finch does it amazingly. this wasn't bad either.

  • Agreed with Sagerious. It should be just Finch. The dancing and stuff.. is too much. Finch could sing, and so could the ensemble. But that was just an odd directorial choice. Also agreeing with "I take Heart" should be te penacle of the song. But you do what you're directed

  • ever so slightly above mediocre. good for high school

  • This has got to be my fav musicals to watch live. :]

Veryvery nice. I just recently watched our highschool do this one. I like seeing the slight differences from yours and ours. very nice :]

also my fav song in the show. :]

  • I saw this musical locally 3 weeks ago and Last night as well. I got this song stuck in my head and was looking all over for it. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Oh, and another thing.

Finch really needs to stop singing in his Head voice. It's demeaning to the song :(

"I take heart" should be fantastically belted.

  • Yet another directorial opinion, but still, there was nothing wrong with how this was performed.

  • erm.. The Kazoos pitch is flat on the sustain note.

And although I applaud you for having a different view on the song, the song should really be Finch singing to himself, not to Rosemary. The Finch character is actually very selfish and the relationship between him and Rosemary is actually very one-sided.

  • yeah, you see..I didn't direct this. I was IN this, but these decisions weren't made by me...and I don't really think there was anything wrong with our interpretation of the characters, your view is one, and ours is another.

  • ours is much better. everything is.

  • You just joined Youtube today, and you think you can just come in trash talking? Actions speak louder than words, imbecile. Put up some videos and put you money where your mouth is.

  • finch doesn't have the upper register for this song.. sorry.

  • Is that so?

  • Yes. Yes it is.

  • You're so naive. Even if that's true, is one downfall enough to bring down the whole?

  • Why are you criticizing everyone who doesn't like this?

  • Can't a guy defend work he "believes in", haha:P

  • The upper register is weak. Agreed. Though the lower register is pretty good. But the "I take heart" is supposed to be the strong point, and I didn't feel it. Good overall though.

  • Thank you!:D

  • <3 i believe in h2s

  • :)<3

  • my high school is working on this now... i'm biggley... i think it ain't half bad

  • Thank you! Let me know how it turns out:)

  • ....its kinda mediocre, sorry

  • You're kind of mediocre :-*

  • The guy that plays finch is actually very good!

    bravo from chicago,il

  • Thank you! I'll tell him you think so:D

  • I think it's bloody amazing. :p and I'm totally an objective viewpoint =)

  • Sagara IS huge,and I totally agree!lol:D

  • oh and by the way, the kazoos were not off pitch. I know when things are off pitch and we were...err...you guys definitely were not off pitch.

  • Wow,thanks Sagara...even though I don't really get what you're saying,lol

  • Wow your kazoo's are off pitch so much.

  • Sir,this is a high school. Everyone in the show and the pit are students. Cut them some slack, all right?

  • .....but they're still musicians... they should have at least tried to match a tuner. I was in a high school production last week, and our kazoos were fabulous.

  • Meh. Our band wasn't that great at this dress rehearsal, and not all of them were there. I assure you, though, during the two weeks of performance, they certainly were very very good.

  • I think it was great. But saying to cut some slack because it is a high school show is like giving up to critisims.

  • And about the girls in the washroom, they are really there for artistic effect, lol. While Finch sings to his dream girl Rosemary, it was kinda cool to have the executives in the backround thinking about their dream girls. Do you get it?lol

  • You've just contradicted yourself. First you said he is singing it about himself, and now about Rosemary.

And don't try and cover up your inadequacies with the fact that it is a high school. High Schoolers are still actors, still singers, still dancers and still musicians.

And most of these ones happen to suck.

And those kazoos are most definitely off pitch.

  • Tapoioca gays...oh,excuse me.."days", I'd like to see you try something half as good. We in this musical kicked ass. Don't you dare so how much we suck unless you can prove otherwise.

  • I don't have anything posted online, but I've been in much better productions than this.

If you post your show online, you can't get so offended when people see mediocre it really is.

  • it's not mediocre. We won quite a few awards.

  • Uh, why were there girls dancing around in the executive washroom? And was Finch singing to Rosemary that he believes in her?

  • Finch is singing to himself in the mirror, and how he believes in himself. He's complimenting himself, and prepping himself to knock J.B. off his feet with his idea. At 3:41, he imagines Rosemary in front of him,and how she is his goal. So, he sings about believing in Rosemary when he imagines her. In case he fails, she will be there for him.
