Between the music and the way you were looking around I was becoming very suspicious that something was going to happen. Those pipes are awesome. Have you seen Geigers furniture?
Man, hope you can land one of those Geiger Pipes someday. I have had my eye on their work for sometime. That "alien teah" is really quite voluptuous in a dark way. Which would definitely pay homage to H.R.Giger. I've found a russian site thats carrying their work, boy do they sell out fast. Oh and Rad Davis is amazing!
a nice and interesting video (black and white, a nice kind of music in the background) with an interesting story. I'm also more in classical pipes and pipe shapes but sometime there are pipes that are different to my prefered shapes and I love them, too. Why not? Maybe that you should start a relationship to this alien girl and find out how it's going to work. ;)
Something extremely eerie about this video I truly enjoyed. And Eno... what a perfect choice.
While none of those Geiger pipes matches my personal preference, they're striking and extremely risky shapes to which I think no one can feel indifferent. I hope you may get to purchase your favorite one someday and hopefully feel like devoting a whole video to it, perchance?
Personally, I'd pick your old pipe anytime over any of those.
lol Arko....just when I think I know your style, you throw us a curveball!! I would have never pictured one of those as something you would like! Not my style, but I do admire the craftsmanship.
@Fenianboyo Hehe, well, I am known to throw a curveball once in a while, but I promise I'll stick with the well know fastballs in the future. Maybe spiced up with a weird knuckler once in a while ;)
I think there's something decidedly fallopian about sandblasted freehands, and the knuckles of the bamboo - if you cut into one of them (I wouldn't), I bet a liquid would ooze out and burn through the floor. Crazy! Beautiful! 5:20 - love love love! Great post.
@RequiemPipes Haha, yes, maybe next time. I just hope they allow smoking on the UFO's.
Classic shapes will always be my preferred style of pipe, that's for sure. But I wouldn't mind having the odd one among them ... like an alien on earth.
Haha I have that music now! Beautiful video, never seen anything quite like that pipe, it's got a lovely form, nearly defines organic. I'm afraid I'd have to smoke it in the privacy of my home, though, lest people think I'm eating a bug!
@harjoeric Gotta love Eno! Gets right under your skin with those strange soundscapes!
HA! A bug! Well, that makes sense ... H.R. Giger's aliens ARE a kind of bugs. Space bugs. But yeah, even thought I'd be proud to own the Alien Tear, I'd probably have to get used to it being so far out compared to all my regular puffers.
Yeah Arko, I would have never guessed that you like that shape.. Too stumpy and freehandish for what you usually prefer. I love the work of Sarah and Love as well, I remember being totally in love with an early shape of them, the "Twisted Volcano", that was 2 years ago. It is really interesting: usually I'm not very much into Bulldog shapes, but from the common Geiger shapes, I like their Bulldog interpretations most. They're awesome.
I hope you can get your hands on an "Alien Tear"! :)
@Ctz1H Well, this crush surprised me too, trust me ;) Maybe it's because I really liked the Alien movies as a kid?
Never seen the 'Twisted Volcano', but you're right about their Bulldog variations -- if I were ever to purchase a Bulldog it would be one from their catalog. Either way, I HAVE to own a Geiger pipe at some point.
@Flieger671 Thank you, Mike! Yeah, I was sort of aiming for a fitting atmosphere ... I'm glad it worked out. As Ryan also said, the Geiger pipes sort of have a dark look to them. A 'house flavor' that I really like. But yes, in reality they're totally out of my range too, but I'll see if I can do something about it. I even consider selling my Anne Julie (!!!). I never smoke it anyway.
Yes, I do read Swedish, but I completely forgot about the articles on Pipklubben! Thanks for reminding me!
DUDE! I just went through the entire site. I can't believe how well these pipes are designed and put together, they do the most beautiful sandblasts I have ever seen
@thepypehype I know! They're insane! Only thing holding me back is the damn $! But one day ... one day I'm gonna own at least a couple of their beauties. I hope.
@dunhillmanuk Thank you, my friend across the North Sea! And you're absolutely right -- we only live once. I really gotta put some money aside for this one. FAST! ;)
Glad to see you back. I am back now too. I have been enjoying your videos very much. Have a good one my friend!!

Great video. I absolutely love the Alien Tear pipe. The other pipes are intriguing as well.
I'd never heard of them, so thanks for mentioning them!

@DailyPuffer Thank you, Bruno!
Risky is a good way to put it. They do indeed have a personality that force you you to take a stance.
I know you'd pick the old Charatan -- you, Gustavo, and I seem to share the same basic taste in pipes.
Hope to see you on the screen again soon, my friend!

Definetly a pipe that would look natural with you. I must compliment you upon the artistry of this video--a work of art in itself. Wow.

Great video, although II was expecting you to get abducted by the end of the video... oh well, maybe next time, ahah.
Those pipes do have a very organic look and are beautifull pieces, but I'm more and more into the classic shapes.
Probably a straight billiard would be regarded as too whimsical by some pipe smoking aliens...

I'm with you on pipe shapes. At some point I would not mind one with a partial bamboo shank. Nice deep space feel to your video.

@darfirst Thanks! I'm also looking for a bamboo ... Stanwell makes some nice ones, so I think I'll be looking in their direction.

Chilling video Arko! The music from Eno really send shivers down my spine. I think your video resonated perfectly with the pipes from Geiger.
The website of Svenska Pipklubben has a couple of articles on the Geiger couple (if you haven't found them already... you do read swedish, right?).
Their pipes are surreal... but waaaaayyyy out of my price league.
My friend: If you have an itch - scratch it. ;)
