Habe diese Übertragung live im "Klassik im Kino" erlebt.und selten in einer Oper so gelacht. Florez war an diesem Tag aber auch unübertrefflich, diesmal nicht nur mit Stimme, sondern auch mimisch. War wohl auch kein Wunder, war er doch Minuten vor der Aufführung Vater geworden. Diese Euphorie hat auch alle anderen Sänger angesteckt, so dass es eine der schönsten Opernerlebnisse wurde, die ich bisher hatte.

This was one of the most perfect and amazing productions I've heard (and seen!) . Damrau. Florez and Di Donato were simply amazing! And all the others were fantastic!! I'm from Milan, but actually the Met is my favourite opra house!! BRAVI!

This production single-handedly made me reverse my belief that the Met was dead. Can we have real singers with impeccable technique like Damrau in every opera at the Met instead of Netrebko?

Singing, stage direction, score, costumes, stage presence ... all are brilliant and mesmerizing. What really blows me away, though, is the crafted naturalism in timing that almost invisibly shapes the smallest gestures and interactions of the singers in relation to one another.

Vraiment, je ne pense pas que son français est si mauvais. Avez-vous déjà entendu des artistes français quand ils chantent en allemand? Le français n'est pas sa langue maternelle.
