@samfleming100 Yep a similar model for Australia is available at Yumasia (dot) (co) (uk) and they ship to Australia. It does not have the Umami function, but the model number is NS-YSQ10 for the 5.5 cup and NS-YSQ18 for the 10 cup model. It does have a slow cooker if you desire such a feature. It is 220v and uses a UK power cord, but you can use an adapter plug if need be. Hope this helps.
@pikkopots Thanks a lot for your prompt reply! I was actually going to write back saying i found the link to the Amazon shop on your blog. They don't ship all rice cookers to Europe but they do this one. I wanted to get an IH though. Oh well, i might as well go on and get this one seeing as your review is so great.
Thanks again!
PS: i follow your blog religiously on Google Reader, it's truly the best, very entertaining. I wish i was half as gifted as you for bento making :(
@agirlcanmack Please make sure you buy the correct voltage machine for Europe/UK as the Zojirushi machines sold in the US are not compatible with UK/European power. We sell Zojirushi rice cookers that are for 220-240v UK and European use at Yum Asia
We will have the 220-240v equivalent model of rice cooker in stock at the end of June, 2011.
Can u get this rice cooker with an Australian power cord?

@agirlcanmack Have you checked Amazon? If not, I will ask Zojirushi where to buy in Europe.
