"If you find yourself alone, riding through green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled, for you are in Elysium, and are already dead."
Anyone who loves the ancient (or in general) Middle East should listen to this at some point, it always makes me think of night in the Eastern part of Turkey a few years back, one of the most starry nights i've seen since there are no streetlights, all the ancient ruins around Mt. Nemrut. Just awesome :).
Heard this just as i prepared to fend off a full stack Pontic army from my final Armenian city. All of nothing for my civilisation. Nothing motivated me more
Not to mention it has wayyy more bugs. I just said fuck it and used boot camp, so i have a windows partition pretty much entirely for my Total War games since SC2 works on Mac.
Everytime I hear this on the campain map while playing as the egyptians, I just drift off. I even sometimes imagine the egyptian sun setting, the donkeys grazing and the river nile oozing from one horizon to the other. Any of you guys get that?
this would be good music to a documentary about Greece or the middle eastern ancient cultures. I think I like Greek ancient history the most ( though I still like learning about all of it ).
I wish we had gladiator fights today, make prison convicts fight eachother. It would be hardass
did Jeff Van Dyck do this song too? ( sorry if I got his last name wrong, I know I got the first two names right )

I haven't played Rome Total War in ages and in my head one night, a very ambient yet vague song i remembered - i could tell it was from Rome Total War and I searched around to see if i could jog my memory. This is it. ^^
I came home at 5am the other day after a wild night out, got into bed closed my eyes listened to this and remembered my times on RTW- everything was perfect
This music is perfect, one of the best pieces written in the total war series... you gotta LOVE drones... real sense of melancholy in this. Great up load
@Nacnueed Basically avoid early conflict with Egypt. Defeat Armenia early and take a couple Selucid territories near the starting point. Avoid early conflict with Egypt and Pontus. You evetually need to conquer them for trade.Don't invest in infantry. Parthia's advantage is in its horseman and an entire army of only cata., horse archers, and persian cavalry is devastating on infantry especially greeks and romans.
Whenever i hear this my pride goes up and i feel that am better than everyone else. I bet am not the only one who thinks this way when listening to this music.
Great drafting

It sucks that the Mac version of RTW doesn't have some of the music the PC version does. I'm regretting the fact that I got a Mac...

This song sounds just like the ambience soundtrack of "The beast of war".
It always reminds me of the movie, the vast, lonely desert landscapes.
