  • Great drafting

  • This song is one beautiful piece of art! It gives me many memories :)

  • "If you find yourself alone, riding through green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled, for you are in Elysium, and are already dead."

    -Gladiator

  • "The wise man in times of peace, prepares for war"

  • Anyone who loves the ancient (or in general) Middle East should listen to this at some point, it always makes me think of night in the Eastern part of Turkey a few years back, one of the most starry nights i've seen since there are no streetlights, all the ancient ruins around Mt. Nemrut. Just awesome :).

  • the calm before the storm......its time to prepare for war

  • Marvelous!! these music play when you explore your map campaign.... and when you manage some settelments

  • Parfian campaigne....

  • Heard this just as i prepared to fend off a full stack Pontic army from my final Armenian city. All of nothing for my civilisation. Nothing motivated me more

  • It sucks that the Mac version of RTW doesn't have some of the music the PC version does. I'm regretting the fact that I got a Mac...

  • @14GloryofRome14

Not to mention it has wayyy more bugs. I just said fuck it and used boot camp, so i have a windows partition pretty much entirely for my Total War games since SC2 works on Mac.

  • @14GloryofRome14

you can easily change the soundtrack by changing the music files of the game

  • can somebody tell me where I can download this song? i can't seem to get it off my copy of rome: total war and wish to put it on my ipod.

  • @sherkbite3839

download it directly from youtube. google "savevid" for example

  • I love this one man.

  • to short!!

  • this is the mediterranean sea owned by carthage

  • Everytime I hear this on the campain map while playing as the egyptians, I just drift off. I even sometimes imagine the egyptian sun setting, the donkeys grazing and the river nile oozing from one horizon to the other. Any of you guys get that?

  • @ManyRegretsz Don't you just love that ethereal quality? It has ambience and resonates with your soul.

  • @ManyRegretsz completely. its fantastic.

  • one of my favourites

  • this would be good music to a documentary about Greece or the middle eastern ancient cultures. I think I like Greek ancient history the most ( though I still like learning about all of it ).

I wish we had gladiator fights today, make prison convicts fight eachother. It would be hardass

did Jeff Van Dyck do this song too? ( sorry if I got his last name wrong, I know I got the first two names right )

  • finally i found this. with "lost souls" these are easily my favorite soundtracks of the game

  • beautiful...search's deep in to your soul. P.s. please escuse my english

  • Epic...

  • I haven't played Rome Total War in ages and in my head one night, a very ambient yet vague song i remembered - i could tell it was from Rome Total War and I searched around to see if i could jog my memory. This is it. ^^

  • Reminds me of Gladiator

  • Dreamy ..........

  • this is divine

  • no RL?

  • I came home at 5am the other day after a wild night out, got into bed closed my eyes listened to this and remembered my times on RTW- everything was perfect

  • Sounds epic dude. :D

  • This music is perfect, one of the best pieces written in the total war series... you gotta LOVE drones... real sense of melancholy in this. Great up load

  • Every time this came on, I would max out the music and turn down the sound and just sit there and listen to it.

  • I love this song especially when i play as parthia...i start out as small horse kindom from the mountains and conquer the whole world

  • How did you manage?? I tried sooo hard to do that (medium difficulty) and i've given up for now.

  • @Nacnueed Basically avoid early conflict with Egypt. Defeat Armenia early and take a couple Selucid territories near the starting point. Avoid early conflict with Egypt and Pontus. You evetually need to conquer them for trade.Don't invest in infantry. Parthia's advantage is in its horseman and an entire army of only cata., horse archers, and persian cavalry is devastating on infantry especially greeks and romans.

  • Really? Not even slingers? They seemed pretty effective. Ok loadsa cavalry and avoid Egypt and pontus early on... i'll give it another go CHEERS!

  • So relaxing, makes me think of icycles! :D

  • Relaxing, a good song for study or read :D

  • incredible.

One of the best soundtracks, if not the best soundtrack to a game.

    beautiful

  • its so bleak

  • So good ........ ;O

  • makes me think of salad fingers

  • well you ruined the relaxation of the song there. salad fingers is in no way relaxing...

    0_0

  • So relaxing...

  • Whenever i hear this my pride goes up and i feel that am better than everyone else. I bet am not the only one who thinks this way when listening to this music.

  • I sortive feel this way. This song makes me feel like im in the desert though. I like it a lot.

  • I feel the same way

  • This song sounds just like the ambience soundtrack of "The beast of war".

It always reminds me of the movie, the vast, lonely desert landscapes.

  • Love this one

  • is there anybody who can tell me the instruments which are used in that soundtrack, please?!

  • Great

  • Soothing...
