However, it is certainly informative with regards 2 one's ability 2 critically reassess their own hypothesis in accordance with hard data as opposed 2 employing rank speculating 2 make a square peg fit into a round hole. About the video: Evolution and Religion can't be considered science. Evolution is just a theory and Religion is Religion. Physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology this is science and schools can teach science and not talk about religion or evolution.

The song certainly does not consider religion as science in any way, shape or form. The song states, "not that religion has no place". This is not to be taken that it has a place in the science classroom, but that one can reconcile their religious beliefs with the theory of evolution. If a "god" did create life on earth, overwhelming evidence clearly shows that she used the process of evolution to diversify it.

I don't say the the song considers religion as science, it's just my opinion about people who fight for this. There's a group who wants evolution to be considered part of science and other group who wants the same but with religion. Evolution in a theory which can't be proved as a fact and religion is about God, and science in this world can't explain what God is.

- a scientific theory is never "proved" by facts, but explains the facts.

- I wouldn't say that science can't explain what god is, as I would say that science (including the theory of evolution) deals only with the observable. This is not to say there is or is no "God", but that there is no scientific method of testing the unobservable.

2. When you say "apes", I assume you refer to modern apes, such as gorillas & chimps. Of course, we did not evolve from gorillas & chimps, we evolved from a distant relative that we share. Which makes us all apes in a way. Just a label, means nothing about how "special" you are. You are very special. A mountain of evidence suggests that we share an ancestor, so if you believe in a "creator", well, then that's most probably the way she planned it.

I have always wondered why science and religion fight eachother. They fit perfectly together! I am religious, but i believe in the big bang and the evolution theory, not the church's theory. I don't berlive we just popped up...I believe we evolved. But i am also very spiritual, and i see the reasons.
