Clay Aiken can make any song his own. He should have won, hands down. His voice is totally awsome. God gave him a talent, and the boy can use it.

As far as Im concerned, the best performer to ever hit american idol. I wish him the best always, and I hope that his voice will continue to bring total enjoyment to everyone, everywhere. Hats off to you boy !!!!!!

well, he does have a good enough voice to actually sing a great song - I truly hate people with okay voices singing great songs when it was the singer that made them great in the first place - But I just can't go past the righteoud Brothers version :]

i hear lots of emotion in this. clay expresses the emotions of a song through his incredible voice. he doesn't need to use facial contortions & dramatic postures. as for being too fast, i think that's due to the AI format - he only had so much time. if he'd had more time perhaps he would have done it slower. but he didn't need to mimic the original - if he had, he would probably have been criticized for doing that, too - this version is different, yet succeeds just the same.
