DSLR is mad sick, don't get me wrong, but this might sound weird, but it will never be able to top the clearness of a VX or DVX, for some reason 4:3 with a MKII, and the right filmer, nothing can top that. HD to me seems kinda fake, even though i have an HD camera, i would much RATHER have a DVX any day of the year.

you should've gotten a hvx200 or hmc150 or something that you can put a century optics extreme so itll be wider..

@MrNorthernNJskating lol yeah but i think its better just to save up for it, i would rather use my dvx100b mk2 for three more years than use a mediocre 60d that has a fisheye that is barely even wide and the colors aren't as good, and also it suffers from rolling shutter effect.

Basically, I would have saved up for an hvx, because the dvx is still sick and the vig on the 60d blows

okay can you idiots please stop saying the 7d is better than the t2i or the 60d for video? they have the same exact sensors and the same video quality settings, the only differences on those cameras are photography features, and i have a 7d so dont tell me im wrong

skateing is forsure rad, filming is good, so is the sound and video quality. One suggestion, have you considered cutting he fuzzy vig or atleast making it sharper?

I don't know about anybody else, but I think the DSLR is a good choice, but it might take a little while to get used to it. If you don't believe me, check out nigelkalexander7

@MindControlFilms DSLR will never be as good as the sd vx1000mkI, or the DVX100 MKII, and aside for the crazy high quality of his 7d, the filming is really not good at all in any of nigel videos...especially the fisheye shots

@11DGeary Nigel was a bad example of good DSLR filming. Watch the Gravis videos or Walker Ryan's graduation part. It just looks different and for some reason people hate change in the skateboarding industry. And I'm pretty sure Nigel uses a 60D and a 5D MKII.

@11DGeary I don't know why everybody pisses themselves over vx1000. Truth it, they were made in the 90's, and people can get good shots with hd cameras, just like sd cameras. If you're a bad filmer, can understand why it wouldn't look good, but there are a lot of good filmers out there with DSLRs as well as DVXs.

@11DGeary I have a vx and a 60d and i use them both when i go out to skate equally. You will never have the control that a dslr has with an SD camera but also theres a certain style you get with the vx that can't be copied
