(Also, Insomniac has a good partnership with Naughty Dog so they both would make little references to each others games)

Go to Damosel and use the sheepinator on the protopets. You can make a huge amount of bolts that way (because the protopets keep duplicating themselves). I bought the RYNO gun and the best armor (forgot the name of it) that way.

I loved the first Jak and Daxter game, but I think everything after the 1st one sucked because they tried to make it like R&C but failed (with all the futuristic junk and weapons).. should have just stuck with how it was :\

I always hated the war between the two games, because I think they both have their strong points. Jak has a better story and a better sense of freedom, but Ratchet has better weaponry and better humor.
