You seem to think that's a lot of code. That's absolutely nothing :) That's the contents of one file, such as character logic, or player logic, or sequential impulse solver. but a real project has a thousand of these.
@kincaid05 Actually i was showing how this can be done with a relatively small amount of code using XNA game studio.... as opposed to using open gl or something similar you fucking dick. you might want to think before you open your mouth you fucking little troll. kthxbai
@gen0syde That doesnt mean a lot coming from someone who uses c# and xna and calls this physics. the ball doesnt even roll off the platform when it's dangling off the edge (0:56-0:58). Does your collision detection return a contact pt and normal? or do you simply have a boolean intersection test?
@gen0syde I'm not trying to troll you. i'm just saying you have a long way to go. I've made some more physics videos available on my page. Granted these demos are sitting on a million lines of a code, the examples themselves are small. The sequential impulse solver is only a couple hundred lines of code. Simple code is fast code. P.s. you can play a lot more of my physics in Toy Soldiers: Cold War.
@gen0syde So you post something like this on Youtube but are not open to constructive criticism? You have a LONG way to go if stuff what kincaid05 said makes you jump on the walls. Learn to program better and then practice your social skills pal :)
@BestForAll90 if you consider youtube commenting one of your social skills then you need to go out side more... And after seeing your video i would say you REALLY need to go outside more because your little online dating thing probably doesnt get you very many girls now does it? Didnt think so...
@gen0syde Don't be so butthurt buddy, everyone gets that kind of criticism when they post entry level stuff online.. :) And to your final question: Yes, it does get me them ;)
Nice engine you have here. Did you read a book on programming physics or something? I have to make a physics engine for university and i have no idea where to start. An info is appreciated
@gen0syde Create an Actual Game with it. Make a maze or something. That is really cool what you made here. I don't even have enough skill for that. o.o Congratulations on your work. :D
@DakaSha well its obviously not done, but right now it simulates gravity, and some basic collision detection. And when i am finished it will be able to have dynamic objects that can interact with other objects...
what is the point of the energy meter if it is supost to be the energy of the ball its wrong

@gen0syde so angry and defensive over such a shitty project. in light of your explanation, that's a terrible amount of code for the results :(

@kincaid05 not everyone codes in vb so it takes a little more code buddy

@kincaid05 @kincaid05 its actually 2 platforms douche. One isnt textured. nice try though. keep trying though you can do it... i believe in you. <3

Maybe you could show me how to do this?
I've been learning C# for a while now... ( A Day or 2) and have programmed alot before.. so i understand the pronciples.. But how did you do this?

Could you give me a quick run though of the gravity phisics, i can figure the rest on my own if i know the general concept

This is hardly anything useful.

I never said it was useful douche... It was just fun to make...

you should do some oop badly...

yeah i know, i just wanted to make a proof of concept and then it got out of hand and i was too lazy to go back through it and clean it up.

Really nice! I like the textures on the ball and floor, too, pretty cool. Go C#!
