  • that wow. that amazes me! that proves that we are dumber than them when u think about it.. his brain is wat the size of a manderine orange and he can do almost the same exact things we do... and learn like us! but we have a brain the size of a watermelon! and we cant do half the shit he could!

  • y didint he just tip it over and likit of the floor i know hes a monkey

  • genius

  • I've seen enough monkeys and truly believe there smarter than a lot of people I know

  • 4:16, looks like monkey is exploring the limit of human intelligence to me! :3

  • Ampersand!

  • It's fake. Monkeys are not smarter than humans.

  • @neverrime Well maybe not smarter than humands, but atleast theyre smarter than you !

  • @neverrime TROLLOLOLOLOLL

  • I'm shocked to see a video with monkey in the title and it actually has a monkey not a chimpanzee, well done about time somebody knows the difference

  • Wow! I didn't know how to do that!

  • WTF!!! He's a better stone worker than i am!

  • monkeys are pretty smart, as smart as young children.

  • only if he had a thumb lol

  • @Atheist603 He's a primate... therefore he has a thumb

  • I wouldn't have known that the rock would break so easily. So right from the start I probably would have started with the twig.

  • *monkey looks at block*

*slaps it out of his hand*

Get that sh*t out of my face.

  • FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • maybe one of the smartest of the smarted monkey around

  • Wow... honestly i could not have thought of a way to get the honey. monkey is smarter than me! >.<

  • @gre8nation Allow me to reply with another quote that has just about as much relevance to modern life:

Deke Dickson: Maybe you can steal more money with a briefcase than a gun, but nothing beats superpowers!

Superman: Close, Punk. Nothing beats Superman!

-The Adventures of Superman, Issue 505

  • @tehinfidel what a legend reply

  • @gre8nation

yea but that does not mean they weren't any normal monkeys before those who were punished...that was just the punishment of those who worshipped evil. It wasn't an invention of a new specie

  • @gre8nation wow....your an idoit

  • @gre8nation according to common sense the idea of allah (god) is created by man. Allow me to demonstrate I walked over to a rock the other day and that rock spoke to me, told me to form a religion based on an idea of a higher power bigger and stronger than allo of us and we will worship. We don't know if it's male or female, we'll just say male and then we'll convince all the towns people to believe in the same thing even though there's no actual proof of it's existence.

  • @gre8nation please don't come on here with your relgious bullshit ideas ecspecially islam, you guys are the worst! IDEA OF GOD IS MAN MADE IDEAS PUT INTO PEOPLES HEADS TO CREATE A PEOPLE BASED ONLY IDEOLOGICAL BELIEFS NOT FACTS, ENJOY YOUR LIFE

  • @gre8nation Hey now, I'm a Muslim too but this is just idiotic. Did the idea that the verse might be referring to humans being lowered to a station comparable to that of apes and swine occur to you? I don't think any Islamic or even Islamist scholar can claim that this means an actual physical transformation into an animal with a straight face. Never mind the plethora of scientific evidence that nullifies this perception.

  • @gre8nation Science has outreached religiuos theories looooooong agoooo! I am shocked some of you guys still believe in Adam and Eve. Isn't incest a sin?

  • @MrAustraliarules who the hell is adam ?

  • @MrAustraliarules oh my please don't say things like that, that is just so rude! you have your beliefs so

don't be condescending about the beliefs of others

  • @gre8nation cool story bro

  • @gre8nation Dude. it's a monkey.

  • this is what happened when i seached for monkeys with knives...

  • 2:21

    "This, is not easy."

    *Monkey glares thinking "No shit"*

  • pretty smart...

  • I LOVE MONKEYS! <3

  • Even I was having a hard time working out what to do.

  • Monkey be smarter than my brother :o

  • the observer is in love .. lol

  • MacGyver!

  • HOLY SHIT. i found my new boyfran.

  • shit. I think this monkey is smarter than me. I wouldn't have thought of half of the shit the monkey did

  • @limosince2007

dont worry... you have longer fingers :D

  • click 7 while watching to see something sexy

  • this is the most interesting and cool video on youtube.

  • I learned about this in psychology class, its called operant conditioning. the monkey learned because he would get a reward from his efforts.

  • @VSmassacre

But how do you explain that he "knows" he must break the rock into smaller pieces....

Unless the guy taught him ?

  • @Bracerjack Just like you learned how to do things that no one else taught you, you try, try,try until you figure it out.

  • He can do all this and I can't even tie my fucking shoes.

  • Saw 7: monkey Business

  • OneyNG.. Lol

  • would be funny if the monkey just threatened the guy watching w/ rock...to get the honey.

  • So they can achieve simple tasks as we do but in a more difficult way

It's like me trying to talk with a guy from germany. I can communicate him things but it would be harder and will surely take longer for me than for a guy who speaks his language

  • damn, i'd love to eat that monkey.

  • @neilandrewporter id love to eat your mother

  • @iNeedConcerta i'd love to watch

  • @neilandrewporter you would

  • @iNeedConcerta make me.

  • i loooove the music ^^

  • hahah i dont think i even would of been able to do that lmao

  • its Amazing

  • testing the limits? the holly grale of inteligence? and the fact that they used the tufted capuchin, the smartest primate in the world, just makes it worse. humans are the dumbest primates in the world becuas of math, and science and stuff, im not saying we should stop, it just takes away instinct, this is NOTHING it took him 3 sec to figure out how to do it, the average 7th grader takes 34 sec to figuer it out 2 min to get the job done, even longer for the average adult

  • @aspensheehan

Fool, math is instinctive, its instinctive to put 2 and 2 together and make realizations, its part of our intelligence, scientific discoveries come out of our instinctive habit to quickly realize and make scientific discoveries.

  • @aspensheehan And although we advance in technology, it really makes us dumber leaving us out of instinct and more spoiled of the results technology is suppose to give us. And if that's wrong, please correct me.

  • @Shadesdeath incorrect. Now yes not having to do certain things does dull many manual skills, however having access to, say, the internet does not leave us dumber by any means. While there is plenty of pointless activities on the internet it has also opened peoples minds to more wealth of information than was ever accessible before.

  • @DarkBunnyLord I stand corrected lol

  • Go Valcan! He was like "F$#K that block u ripoff, I paid for a twig with my yellow chip!" Fascinating! I would be proud to have him as my far, far great grandpa!

  • monkeys are stupid

  • @cpms5151 no they are not

  • My boss couldnt do that !

  • I know a lot of humans that wouldn't be able to figure that out.

  • 4:06

    monkey: twig plz

    guy:here ya go

    monkey: bitch i said twig

    guy:here yu go

monkey:Bitch i said a mothafukin twig wa part of th--- ohh alrightt thts what i though

  • A brick is not what Vulcan asked for Researcher Ted Evans!

  • Comment removed

  • vulcan isn't that smart. if he was he'd have gotten the rock, smashed it against the scientist's head then used the stick to point at the honey, while whipping the scientist to force him to get the fucking honey outta the tube. he shoulda known that blue shirt wearing mutha put his tasty treat in there in the first place.

  • how is that trainer not grinning ear to ear through out the whole ordeal? perhaps he is used to it, and is grinning on the inside to maintain a professional appearance

  • aww thats so cool, i want a monkey

  • Easy to see how after hundreds of thousands of years of evolution we can build computers like the one you're on now!

  • LOL when he gets a brick

"oy fuck off where's mah twig eh!?"

  • That is a really amazing video. So cool to see another animal demonstrate intelligent thinking and problem solving.

  • ahhhh pinche chango!

  • 4:13 "Get that shit outa my face bitch, I said TWIG!" xD

  • Haha. I like how Vulcan is like "Don't fuck with me, Ted!"

  • HAHA I love how he gets pissed when Ted tries to give him the block.

  • Videos like this always leave me feeling amazed. How fortunate to share this world with something so intelligent. We are not alone :)

  • What would be cool would be teaching some wild primates how to create and use fire. It goes against all ethics, but it would be cool.

  • what thats amazing im going to get my capuchin to do that!!!!

  • now these are the sort of tests that should be performed on monkeys. This is noble research!!!! No chemical or medical experiments ever again.

  • (4:00) Lmao... Hes like what is that shit?! i said TWIG!

  • the mokey is like give me the god damm grape

  • Simply amazing.

  • i thought he was going to make a straw for a second somehow lol

  • "AT LAST, THE SEAL IS BROKEN"

    Warranty void

  • If that monkey was a creationist it would be satisfied with that wooden block.

  • Wow, super cool

  • IMAGEN A ANGRY MONKEY PULLS OUT A SHARP WILD OBJECT AND TABS YOU.....PLEASE DONT KILL HIM YES ARREST THE MONKEY...LOL

  • Wow!!

    Yeah... Wow!!

  • thats awesome.

  • yes but can he get a chip packet open without spraying everything all over the carpet?

  • @gerundino98 lol!

  • that's better. motherfucker.

  • Monkeys are making spears in the wild and killing bushbabies for food now. All on their own, confining primates for study is bad.

  • This monkey is smarter than those on the Texas Education Board, that's for sure.

  • Captivating! It's video like this that makes me lose the awareness of sitting in a chair in front of a screen and just gape in wonder!

  • I also saw the vid about culture and immitation, by chimps. i dunno know, or maybe tha capuchin doesn't know.... when jaguars attack

  • Dun/Dun/Dunnnnnn/DAA-DUNNNN

    Boom Boom/Boom Boom/Boom Boom/Boom Boom

    Dun/Dun/Dunnnnn/DAAA-DDDAAA

  • OMG smart wee fuckers

  • 4:09 get that shit out of here

  • i got the 1st 1 but no idear how to use the twig haha

  • i NEVER would have been smart enough to realize what the tools were used for.

  • If I was that monkey i would have rage quitted a while ago.

  • Its like looking us 10 000 years in the past.

  • @PhreakStep More than 10,000 years

  • 10 million maybe. 10,000 we were still homo sapiens sapiens

  • Monkey is smarter than most of YouTube.

  • @iamnotvaio YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!

  • Absolutely astounding..monkeys will never cease to fascinate me :)

  • i think some people would fail this test

  • I think some people think that monkeys r farting stupid animals , but there not there very smart, and cute!!!!!!

  • Man I want a monkey!

  • I wonder why it is that monkeys don't find a particular tool very useful, like a knife, or a hammer, and decide not to abandon it when they've accomplished their current goal.

  • @monkeytwineball

foresight and planning are greatly associated with humans and widely considered to be unique to us (evidence points to our frontal lobes). Tests in other animals are showing how unique the ability really is... if unique at all.

  • Sorry, mate, that's simply not true. The first related video: "Monkey tool usage: hammer and anvil" shows days-ahead planning behavior by capuchins. Also, Santino the chimpanzee plans attacks on zoo patrons a day ahead, and orangutans maintain forest maps for planning routes.

From current evidence, it appears to be mostly down to advanced language anymore, which is thought to be the catalyst for rapid transmission of culture, and thus cumulative innovation.

  • yep, tests in other animals are showing how unique the ability really is (as in not unique). But I'm not convinced capuchins have much planning ahead.

If you show me they collect rocks on the top, and leave them there for when the jaguar attacks, I will probably be convinced then!

  • It was specifically the saving of the coconut shells for later use that I was referring to.

  • but that can very well be two behaviors that worked and got selected at least for what you see in the video: peeling the coconut dropping it and forgetting about it and 2) be attracted to it later when it has dried.

Ants stockpile food for later use, that doesn't mean they have foresight.

  • anyway I'm not sayin these lil monkeys don't have such capabilities. Just that, personally I would have been convinced with rock collection for later use against predators. And its weird, that too could very well be just two behaviors that got selected.

  • @tychoSNM I don't know if this counts for much as far as " planning ahead" but when I was a kid, our family had a Capuchin monkey for a pet. He used to "booby trap" my dads chair a couple times a week. Only my dad's chair! Gumby lol that was his name, would not always choose the same "tool" to do it either. He would get things out of the fridge, drawers, cabinet etc. whatever he could get to, and not get caught lol. The funniest probably was when he buttered the chair, LOL

  • @tehinfidel From the studies Ive seen most primate planing does not go beyond a day. This limits the scope and complexity of any project. The other major factor is something most people don't associate with intelligence. Its our ability to copy. Humans, especially children copy actions perfectly, even while clearly pointless. This allows things to be taught much quicker and knowledge to be passed on easily. Of course it also has the negative effect of complete nonsense being passed on.

  • I would be interested to see this test repeated with a variety of different rocks available, to see if the capuchin knows that certain types of rock will break into sharp flints and others wont.

  • Precious creature.

  • Yes. 'Evolutioned,' indeed.

  • Get that idiot creationists. Are we the only intelligent being on earth? No. We're just evolutioned monkeys as you can see.

  • @mikilavush "A human is made to be an image of God" That means god is a fucking monkey mate .

  • In your case, I'm fucking positive you descended from some form of lower being.

  • Genesis is not a history book.

  • Look at his face at 2:20

    "Nghh....c'mon you sonofabitch....."

  • 4:08 that was funny
