Nah its more than that. Art style aside, graphics have moved on since Crysis. I was a big fan of it too but nostalgia aside Crysis 2 has a greater sense of realism. Its the setting in C1 that makes it stand out, cities like in C2 have been done to death and just dont appeal as much as C1's forests did.

@tazss159 BF3 does have reflections but they're not "real". If you go near the water in BF3 your reflection does not show; it's fake, like a skybox for water. I'm not trying to smite it in anyway, but people are confusing visual style with graphical power :P Like trying to say the Hurt Locker is more realistic than Avatar. Of course HL looks more realistic than avatar, because HL is modern day and Avatar is sci-fi.

@tazss159 They're not dynamic. An object on a reflective surface such as water in BF3 will not have a reflection. It's a pre-made. Like a skybox. Or a sprite. And of course BF3 looks more realistic. It's set in modern day. Crysis is sci-fi, so it looks unrealistic.

My computer tears Crysis 1 up with max AA but still struggles a little bit when running Crysis 2 maxed out which I know doesn't have to do with graphics looking better or not but the Cryengine 3 is more advanced then its second.
