  • Nice footage, love the sound of detroits at work , great to see the 14 crossing a working road.have just posted a clip check it out on Gintysdiesel.

  • TS24 TS14 only has one engine

  • @Backpacker1uk The T is TS14, TS24, etc stands for twin engine. The single engine ones are simply S14, S24, etc.

  • Saw a fleet of these being moved down the m4 towards Swansea in the 80,s. They were owned by locks plant of he'ol y cyw Bridgend.

  • looks like a TS24 to me

  • @wotasod Not hardly big enough it's a TS 14 , a TS 24 is the equivilent of a Cat 637.. The TS 18 is the same in size as a Cat 627...

  • @kamphwagon1 I was told by the operator a couple days ago that it is a TS14.

  • @anthony851 I am a operator ,the reason I gave the examples, theres also S series Terex scrapers ,Cat denotes twin engine scrapers with a 7 at the end of the numbers Terex uses the T prefix .. Twin engines are used to eliminate the push cat / dozer needed to load them unless it's hard clay ,then you need a push cat to fully load one or a hook & bail system where two or more scrapers aid each other loading, you need experienced operators and a straight cut to use the system..

  • @kamphwagon1 TS14

  • @wotasod TS14

  • where is bulls gorge in new zealand.

  • @airlane2 State Highway 10, south of Kerikeri.

  • Terex may build good scrapers; but every one they build is based on the old Euclid design. I wonder how many who watch and look at equipment like this, remember watching Twin-engined Ukes, digging and dumping, at speeds from 15mph to 30mph?

I remember those scrapers when the dike around Wichita, Kansas was built; and my dad used to be the one the company called when one broke down; as he was one of the few diesel mechanics in the area, who could rebuild those machines at the site.

  • @DerangedDragon99 Terex a division of General Motors bought Eculid out , the same happened to Le Turnue , it's now WABCO , Westeinghouse Air Brake Co.. Eculid used General motors engines and transmissions anyway....

  • The scraper has arrived at Bulls Gorge again. I'll get another vid of it in action. Anthony

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

  • Yay First comment. This is cool. Ive always loved Green Terex scrapers. It went away, now its time to appreciate them again. I have an old photo of me and my dad by two of these scrapers and other construction equipment. I was probably 7, or 8 yrs old at that time. I'll b 18 on november 11, 2011 which is cool because i cant wait for 11:11 Pm on the clock that day. 11/11/2011 @ 11:11 pm and 11 seconds. Lots of 11. WOW

  • @Monsterjammin93 New video of same machine taken yesterday and is on my channel.
