I HATE Windows, but Microsoft makes some nice things! Bing is one of those nice things! Just like the Xbox 360 - it's AWESOME! I think a lot of people hate Windows, so they automatically assume that ALL Microsoft things are crap!

Well, I can't really disagree with you on that! Compared to every other video game console EVER made, the 360 has proven to be the one with the MOST issues & technical problems! I, myself, had the problems with the 360 & the red ring of death! Never happens on the Elite model, but all of the other ones.

However, when the system works properly without issues, the 360 has the BEST gaming experience on the market! The best games, live service & user interface! In that, the Xbox 360 is AWESOME!

Apple is far more restrictive and less open than Microsoft. Microsoft founded their own open source software organization, and licenses their OS for use on a wide variety of hardware.

Apple licenses most of their projects under open source licenses because they HAVE TO because they BASE it off of open source code. Webkit is based off of KHTML, Darwin on FreeBSD, etc.

How monopolistic Apple is for MP3 players depends on where one is. In the Europe one will see plenty of DAPs which are not Ipods been used.

However here in Hong Kong, it's almost impossible to buy a DAP which is not an Ipod. Very hard to find a Creative, Sony, Sansa, Cowon, or Iriver DAP been offered for sale or used in HK. A lot of people here appear to be using mobile phones to listen to music while on the go.

If I was using OS X I'd try it out, it had some pretty badass features. I'm getting tired of FF anyway, it's had the same memory leak problem since 2.5. It's not fun when FF, just idling with this video, uses 150mb of ram. When Webkit browsers, I.E. Chrome, even Safari is using around 65-70mb. Addons aren't enough to keep me, even though I'll miss tree style tabbing.
