@Weailand2006 Oliver Nagy will be offering the stickers on his website sometime in the next week or two. I'll post a link on the Shapeways page when they're available.
This appears to be something that very few puzzlers are going to be willing to buy. Considering its complexity and its seemingly easy ability to get bandaged, as per my observation. It's a REALLY cool design, though, and I have an appreciation for these kinds of things. I'd buy it.
P.S. I've been working on an experimental version of a Siamese cube similar to this one in Solid Works, as well.
It looks more like a curvy copter with more layers, maybe it should be called "master curvy copter". By the way it looks very nice, I really like this one.
where can you learn to solve it with jumbleing? i really want to learn! if you have a website or video or anything that would be awesome! please reply
@CuberMan2 I actually haven't even solved it without jumbling. It's just sitting on my shelf in a partially solved state, and occasionally I take it down to try to move some pieces around. I'm much more a puzzle designer and builder than I am a puzzle solver.
@iwillfoolu Not at this point. It is just way too complicated to make good molds, and it would be way too expensive for a college student budget. Thanks for the interest, though!
@arcrobe Nope! The Toru is simply a deep-cut single-layer face-turning rhombic dodecahedron. It looks like it's double layered, but it's just the nature of the cuts that it looks that way.
Eitan, I think we talked about this at nationals, but I'm pretty sure that the jumbling angle of the helicopter cube is arccos(1/3), not arccos(-1/3). Doing a google search for "arccos(1/3) in degrees" gives a result of 70.5287794 degrees, which is the angle at which a helicopter cube jumbles.
GOD O.O

isn't it a master cuvy copter? since you can see the center edge pieces wich you can see on the curvy copter, but not on the helicopter cube...
By the way, this puzzle is amazing! i wish it was mass produced :s i am a big fan of the curvy copter from mefferts, but this is just wow

so why does it jumble at specifically arccos(-1/3)=~109.47 degrees? I thought it was just a megaminx mod, so why isn't it every 72 degrees (360/5)?

The first higher order jumbling puzzle is the bandaged 5x5 :p
RubixFreakGreg 1 year ago
@RubixFreakGreg No it isn't. The 5x5 does not jumble, even if it is bandaged.
