Guys like Monte Barrett are hugely under-appreaciated in boxing.

Sometimes when we talk about "warriors", we only think of the biggest names (Holyfield, Gatti etc.)

In reality, more limited men like Barrett also belong in that group.

He would fight to the death.

@reznick8 Thank you very much rez, and you're right. And what I really liked about him was that he never gave up in any fights. Even if he allmost got knocked senseless he allways tried to get up like a warrior.

Great vid again bro, this is the type of true hard work fighter who has had to take the hard path in his career, never seen much of his fights apart from the haye and fields ones, i think with maybe better mangement he could have won a world title, what happened to fields after this fight i thought he was going to be a star lol

@28rampage Thanks man, I'm glad you liked the vid. And yeah no doubt he worked hard to get there. And as you say he could've been champion with better management. It's really inspiring that he lost his first pro bout but still got here. And about Field I don't know, never really thought he could make it. I allways thought he was just a big guy throwing punches and hoping for the best lol.
