Looks alot like the Chinese QBZ-95, maybe because Russia has strong relationships with China and vice-versa. Maybe they copied it, got an idea from it, or they never copied it, or this gun was invented before it, but, maybe it was being invented and they got an idea off of the QBZ-95 or the other bullpup guns or they wanted to create a bullpup gun. Not Sure.

These weapons are only used for close quarters and only by specnaz, you will never see a russian soldier using this, for war they use the AK-103/104. The vintorez and bal are used for the same thing, you don't want to be seen with something bulky, right?

@inkbot2000 I know that, it uses the 7.62mm one. The Bal and so on use the 9x39mm one and for what I have heard the tip of the bullet is made of tungsten to help with the penetration of the bullet.

this gun was created in early 80s when soviet army wanted a new rifle for special forces. its premuch Ak74u. this gun never entered service.

Looks good, works well, modular, it has a lot going for it. The first time i saw it, i thought it was essentially the russian equivalent to the P90, ut with a grenade launcher. Its a 9mm correct? So against odyarmor it wouldnt be as effective right?

It's a 9x39mm subsonic.

Based on the 7.62mm used by the AK-47, with a bigger, heavier bullet that carries plenty of kinetic energy (i.e. a lot more than a 9x19mm or 5.7x28mm) without breaking the sound barrier.

The OC-14 Groza ("Thunderstorm") is a bullpup assault rifle and grenade launcher combination designed by CKIB SOO (Central Design Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Weapons) in Tula, Russia, and is manufactured by TOZ (Tula Weapons Plant). The OC-14 is available in either 9 x 39 mm or 7.62x39mm.

Sry its too much to tell you all...they say that Kalashnikov wasnt good enough for special forces...so they used the "Aks-U" for a bullpup looking Kalashnikov. It was the first Bullpup gun for anti terror using.

It can be set up in these configurations: over/under w/launcher, w/scope, w/sound suppressor, w/scope & sound suppressor, w/foregrip, or microcarbine version for vehicle crews. You wouldn't see the launcher, scope, and sound suppressor on it at the same time. With the launcher configuration, the single trigger controls both the rifle and launcher with a selector switch.

LoL looks like russia took p90 and famas concept but kept same caliber. Short but bullpub and powerful. I bet u anything its max guranteed range is 400-500yards. All russian guns are 400-600 max. Having a heav bullet and barrel makes it more reliable but less accurate.

P90 is very different (ammo is magasine under 90° to barrel etc), FAMAS uses blow back, not gas piston. This one is based on AK.
