Now I agree that we have selective special interest involved in trade right now, but that is not our problem. I think it should be open.but our main problem is we do not have balanced equal trade.

Sometimes fair trade is a misguided attempt to make up for market failures in which one flawed pricing structure is replaced with another. The trade deficit is definitely a problem though. But this is more political more so than economical. The Keynesian era in Washington will end soon.
