  • Me and my friend put this song when we were on mushrooms.. Made me see and think really true things

  • 1969, in the sunshine... that's what I keep hearing

  • This really shouldn't work, but somehow it does, very well, captures a 70s time capsule really well.

    Very good video, thumbs up!

  • @bobbygnosis it wasn't just women and children in that place there were men too and they killed 4 ATF agents which caused the FBI to come. If they weren't doing anything wrong all they had to do was let the police search the place its not that hard. If they don't want to be governed then find some remote island or place to live like Antarctica or some other island. And any women or man that allows themselves to be in that position are just insane...sorry. I wouldve surrendered for my children.

  • @djteq9 I absolutely agree that there were also men who were killed by the Feds. As for the women and children the Feds instructed those inside the buildings to not come out on pain of death. If you'd like to look that up you can. All the Feds had to do to protect those women and children from the rounds and gas fired by the Feds was to refrain from firing rounds and gas into the compound. It's pretty simple.

Like I say, believe what you like.

  • @bobbygnosis This is so fustrating because people don't understand what the feds were there for in the first place...They were there because illegal activity was taking place. The feds were there to execute a search warrant which was accusing David Koresh of child abuse, child sexual abuse, and illegal guns(which were there). If David Koresh would have stood up and took the blame for the guns and shit the kids wouldn't even been in that position.

  • @djteq9 If the women and men were really for their kids and up to protecting them and had a clear mind this wouldn't even had happened. So fuck what happened after. You are condoning a bunch mentally insane individuals who would rather worship a psychopathic man than protect their own children and actually want to do well and contribute something good to society. Koresh used these "women" and kids as a coverup. I'm sure if the feds didn't intervene they wouldve drank cyanide Kool aid anyways.

  • @djteq9 thats all i gotta say blame it all on the feds but shit like this needs to be prevented from the get-go. They should have locked his ass up a long time ago.

  • @djteq9 People who did gas women and children: Feds

People who didn't gas women and children: Branch Davidians

  • @bobbygnosis it was fucking tear gas to get them to submit.

  • @djteq9 One of the investigators is on record as saying that the CS gas used was of a type that had high doses of cyanide. The children were exposed - without gas masks due to their small heads - for six hours in an unventilated area. All the Feds had to do was NOT use the CS gas on women and children. The women and children were not firing on the Feds. They were not a tactical threat.

I don't see how gassing non-violent women and children is a good thing. Maybe you do.

  • @poppiesrule 1970

  • Whats the story of Branch Davidians Wikipedia is confusing me with all these junk and stuff

  • @djteq9 The Davidians were into freaky shit, but the Feds killed women and children so the Feds were clearly not protecting the women and children; there was something else going on. Some think the Davidians pissed of the Feds because they didn't want to be ruled by the Federal Government. That line of thought makes sense to me. I'm at a loss to understand why they needed a tank to kill a bunch of hicks with superfluously grandiose ideas. It's wanton death & destruction on the part of the Feds.

  • @bobbygnosis yeah i did some research and read that some of the leaders went crazy and were killing some of their own people and committing suicide. I also read that David Koresh was having sex with older women and teenagers and shit. Also the house looked like it was burning from the inside not the outside. So if the feds burnt the house it probably would've started from the outside. The feds shouldve gotten a firetrucks nd shit tho. They should have never shot at the first group of feds.

  • @djteq9 I do not believe for a second that the Davidians killed themselves. There's footage of a tank throwing fire into the home. You can look it up if you want. There was very likely statutory rape going on, however that doesn't make it okay to kill literally everyone involved including the young women and children.

Your observation regarding the lack of fire-trucks is worth consideration.

  • @bobbygnosis I encourage you to look into the congressional testimony. Just remember that the Feds gassed women and children. Those women and children were not firing upon the Feds. The gas was at lethal doses and at extremely close range (the tank punched a hole into the building). They did not have gas masks. All the Feds had to do to save those women and children was to NOT gas the women and children that they killed.

    Believe what you like though.

  • @bobbygnosis it wasn't just women and children in that place there were men too and they killed 4 ATF agents which caused the FBI to come. If they weren't doing anything wrong all they had to do was let the police search the place its not that hard. • @djteq9

david koresh was stockpiling illegal weapons

  • @EATshitanddrinkbleac yeah i researched it. I honestly think he was trynna start a "war" and was just using the woman and children and his followers as pawns. I mean he even said that the final war/judgement was suppose to take place in Texas and feds caught him before he started a mass killing. this dude had all the characteristics of a cult leader. Take Jim Jones and Charlie Manson for ex. Their followers believe them to be the messiah or whateva and then they convinced them to doing bad shit.

  • @djteq9 That's speculation on your part.

There is a high degree of likelihood that you've typed your message before you've committed mass killings. Just saying.

  • I love the 'last picture show'

70s cinema was alot more 'cerebral' than movies today

  • That's so cool that the lyrics are only like 11 words repeated throughout the video! :)

  • clockwork orange amazing

  • Which film is the one that starts at 2:40? I've always liked what that man says but never knew from what movie it is from...

  • @Tigrus167 "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" (short version of his speech)

    The Network :)

  • WOW

  • BOC fans make the coolest, smartest fan vids. excellent selection of 70s masterpieces, well edited

  • It's weird hearing the line "1969 in the sunshine" not popping out in the mix like it does on record and some other videos. Kind of cool hearing how Youtube's audio degrading affected it. Like it sucked the life out of the line..

Really nicely put together video. :)

  • unlike the person who made this video, I don't have a creepy association with BoC...I find it unbelievably uplifting and beautiful. it's interesting that different people have different takes on this. a testament to BoC's ability to evoke lots of different kinds of experiences.

  • You forgot to put Deer Hunter on that list. Despite it being in there. Awesome video though and awesome decade.

  • This tune is just beyond amazing.

  • this is pretty sick

  • wow amazing ;0

  • Surprising editing choice, when you consider this song is about a Branch Davidian girl.

Nice tribute to the movies of the 70's though

  • I agree with the 70's as being the best period in cinema. Such great films

  • can i have the name of the film at 1:56 please? :o

  • @msalami1 Actor is Dustin Hoffman, so I guess the film is The Graduate. Not sure, though.
