Jesus died not because he had to or by accident,he went to the cross knowing full well what was going to happen to him that day and he did so willingly, he suffered for us because he loves us.Do U really think that the only pain he suffered was being nailed to the cross?He suffered more that day than anyone since when he took our sins upon himself!

@zLOSTNOMOREz beautiful words thank you! i have often wondered what caused Him the greatest pain those cruel hours ,i think the physical pain was overpowered by the heartache He felt from those who rejected Him and the pain of ALL the sin laid upon Him.I think His love for us is what gave Him the strength to go trough it ,to keep going all the way.Thank God He did!His focus that day and today is not His pain but ours.

It isn't humanly possible to survive that. He was given a cloak. Later, the cloak was ripped off of Him, and His wounds reopened. A crown of thorns was driven into His skull as He was mocked and spat upon. He carried His cross up the hill to where he was NAILED to it. He lasted three hours before he GAVE up His life.
