I'm 15 and own 7 lasers, I know what I am doing. Kurosaki323 is just saying that the glasses magnify it which is untrue, and I said well if it magnifies a laser it would also magnify the sun making them useless. I don't know if you understood me correctly.

Wow, some of the ppl that replied don't know nothing about lasers. Lasers that are powerful enough can burn through almost anything if given the right conditions. There are industrial lasers used to cut through plastic, glass, paper and other kind of materials.

Good demostration showing the power of a "commercial laser" can do. Anyways, I think I'm gonna try your project on doing the homemade laser thingy. Looks cool.

The sunglasses didn't magnify the laser, they blocked out some of the light and this video shows that the laser is powerful enough to pop a balloon through the glasses. If you don't believe me then look at my other laser videos.

Green Lasers work at 532nm, Red work at ~660nm - Different light wavelengths. Green lasers are more complex in construction and therefore are rarer, harder to build, and more expensive. They are also harder to get to higher milliwatt powers than Red lasers. However Red are the most common that you see around - most cheap <5mW lasers are red. Oh, and Green lasers can be seen easier - with weak lasers, You can see the whole beam with Green, rather than just the dot with red.

wickedlasers . com sells shades for green and red lasers. They are fantastic quality for a low price. Its the only thing that they can do ight. There lasers suck so hard but they make good safety equipment.

lol they dont need it, its just a scam if you get one without a IR filter because the power laser you buy is a little bit of visable green light and the rest is IR, scam lasers. eg you get a 50mw, no diode the green laser is actually 20mw and 30mw of IR is produced. its harmless as IR is everywere around and the output will be simmilar to your TV remote. so no they dont need them.
