I think it's cool how Kain killed Umah because she was a trailor. He didn't let her live just because she was his love interest. My favorite trait about Kain is his absolute quest for power at all costs and he will kill anyone who stands in his way.
Intriguing. I think I prefer this one of the two; it has a bit more depth and ambiguity to it, even though we know full well how Kain's empire ends up. Many thanks for making me aware of this.

A company thinks, above all, of the money it can make. If it deems a project unprofitable, it doesn't do it. The people at CD said they have it on their mind, but I can understand that they think they might lose a lot of money, for LoKD only sold 100,000 copies (SR sold 1.5 million).
@VipericVampire Defiance sold more than that but still not on the level of SR1. I understand the reasoning of why they haven't finished the series but regardless it's still a damn shame.
In terms of installments, LoKD was the last game, but the story clearly doesn't end there. There are a lot more questions to be solved. And I game was going to be made after Defiance (called Blood Omen 3/The Dark Prophecy), but it was canceled three (or six) months into production, because it was not profitable for Eidos. At that point, Amy Hennig had already left CD to work at Naughty Dog. One more thing, you can go check the concept art for the canceled game: it looked pretty sick.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get this ending in any version of Blood Omen 2, ever. What you got is the normal Blood Omen 2 ending, which is slightly different compared to this video.

It's not a very "different" ending, but more like an expanded one that actually feels more fleshed out and hints at things to come. The original, standard, ending was more or less "Congratulations, you pwnt the bad guy, now Kain can be a dick for the next 3000 years :P"

I don't know, they might try to revive the series or they might not. It depends on how treasured the series is seen in the industry. Another thing to be notices in this ending, is that when Kain says "Umah, you should've trusted me", he says it in a softer, somewhat sad voice while in the original, even though he says it in a low voice as well, it sounds colder.
In this ending it sounds more emotional, and in my oppinion it does not suit Kain very much.

When you maintain the attention span to realize "who" (or what) Kain is symbolizing then his commentary referring to this "Undercutting of doubt" is a much heavier statement...

before the battle with the saraphan lord, the saraphan said that he had no spy called uma. so what means, that uma betrayled kain with absolutely no sense? except the fact that she didn't want him to rule Nosghoth?

Defiance was a great game. i can't believe people saying it sucked. yes, i guess it is opinion. camera was fine for me. guess i have better eye sight than most or our television was better. controls were almost the same as previous games. still has a great story and all in all. i'd still put it as my favorite game. graphics could be better i guess, but i'm not really complaining about that
The camera was most un-good, and the repetitive look of the temples was a bit of a let down, but still a very epic game. The fight between Raziel and Kain in Avernus, and later Kain's fight with the EG were the very definition of fist-pumping-in-the-air-epic.
actually i tried playing the game again. i was wrong, graphics was good, i was thinking of soul reaver 2 about the graphics. camera... i guess i'm just used to games with those kinds of camera angles. and true, very epic game. can't believe i haven't played blood omen 2, i didn't know janus' story truly ended there as the janus in blood omen 2 was the one that was already possessed. cool twists. i really hope they make a great conclusion since the only enemy left is the elder god
The only things I noticed were that the words don't match mouth movement in this vid, and that Kain also has different dialouge. I'm guessing that in one of these save blocks, you used the code to unlock the Iron Armor and Soul Reaver.

Defiance was garbage. Some of the camera angles were so bad that you can't even see your player-character (PC). Other times the camera is so far away that Kain looks like a small stick figure miles away. Defiance was junk.
No, Defiance was a good game storyline-wise, the graphics were good too I think. However, I agree with all of you when saying that the camera was shit. In great distances, it looked good, but only cinematically-wise. It was useless in battle, and a pain in the ass in small areas. Blood Omen 2 cam rocked!

dude ive played both soul reavers and defiance and watched the walkthroughs of both blood omens but i still can't figure out when kain turns from here into the green monster rough skin looking thing does anyone know i always thought it was over the years from the millenium he lived but if not someone please explain it to me

Kain isn't saying the same thing, but since you probably suffer from some kind of mental dysfunction/have hearing problems/you don't understand English, you didn't notice. As for the audio not matching, blame that on WMM.
And no, I'm not sad. I'm actually feeling pretty good at the moment, so that was irrelevant.

The other doesn't zoom in on the Sarafan Lord upon his death, Kain's dialogue in this has things the other doesn't, and a bunch of other shit. if you'r egoing to be that much of an idiot, for your sake and everyone else's, please get off of the internet.

before the battle with the saraphan lord, the saraphan said that he had no spy called uma. so what means, that uma betrayled kain with absolutely no sense? except the fact that she didn't want him to rule Nosghoth?

Defiance was a great game. i can't believe people saying it sucked. yes, i guess it is opinion. camera was fine for me. guess i have better eye sight than most or our television was better. controls were almost the same as previous games. still has a great story and all in all. i'd still put it as my favorite game. graphics could be better i guess, but i'm not really complaining about that

The camera was most un-good, and the repetitive look of the temples was a bit of a let down, but still a very epic game. The fight between Raziel and Kain in Avernus, and later Kain's fight with the EG were the very definition of fist-pumping-in-the-air-epic.

actually i tried playing the game again. i was wrong, graphics was good, i was thinking of soul reaver 2 about the graphics. camera... i guess i'm just used to games with those kinds of camera angles. and true, very epic game. can't believe i haven't played blood omen 2, i didn't know janus' story truly ended there as the janus in blood omen 2 was the one that was already possessed. cool twists. i really hope they make a great conclusion since the only enemy left is the elder god

The only things I noticed were that the words don't match mouth movement in this vid, and that Kain also has different dialouge. I'm guessing that in one of these save blocks, you used the code to unlock the Iron Armor and Soul Reaver.

Nope. Unlike Defiance, finishing the game, you don't get to unlock anything. I had to go The Lost World to get it.

I did complete Defiance, dipshit. And yes, it was the worst game I have ever played because of the crappy controls and hellacious camera angles. You suck because you are too stupid to tell when game devs waste good talent by half-assing it! Get bent!

Defiance was garbage. Some of the camera angles were so bad that you can't even see your player-character (PC). Other times the camera is so far away that Kain looks like a small stick figure miles away. Defiance was junk.

No, Defiance was a good game storyline-wise, the graphics were good too I think. However, I agree with all of you when saying that the camera was shit. In great distances, it looked good, but only cinematically-wise. It was useless in battle, and a pain in the ass in small areas. Blood Omen 2 cam rocked!
