nope nba 2k8 is more realistic! But if you want best graphics try NBA 08! But if you want good graphics but crappy physics and repetitive gameplay try NBA Live 08!

Don't know about other platforms but on the 360 live is simply better than 2k8.

This usually happens Playing NBA Live. If I'm up by 15, 20 or more points, crazy things happens. You just simply miss wide open dunks and layups and leads to CPU fastbreaks. CPU can't miss tough shots, this way they can get the deficit close and actually gets back into the game. I hate this! this isn't REALISTIC! CPU should make Great defensive plays, great offensive plays to get back into the game, not doing strange crazy things.

I had this issue too. But I had a solution, for me anyway. I lowered the CPU global sliders of nearly all their sliders to 40-45%. The default is at 50%. Lower those a bit and I had realistic stats. My season is perfect for stats I mean...

I want a realistic gameplay!! I've been playing live since 2003, and I can score upto 140 Team Pts in 1 game where in reality, NBA teams only scores 80 to 90+ pts, sometimes goes to 100 pts above but mostly only 80 to 90...and If you are up by 20+ i hope CPU teams do really great Plays to get back into the game, not making you miss lots of wide open dunks and layups that always leads opponents to Ridiculous fast breaks and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

They promote this game to much. EA has got shitloads of money the can promote it with because they know otherwise they dont stand a chance against NBA 2k8 in pure gameplay.LIVE 08 looks improved but LIVE is for new beginners and 2K8 is for real B-ball fans ! LIVE 08 is so fuckin nice I played the demo though I wanna try the full thing. the only problem I have is if ur guy has bad handling, u cannot get around ur defender taht well especially since teh AI has improved the D will be harder and tighter. ALso, I haven't done any of the go-to moves and own the paint but the ball-handling is great, EA! 9.9/10

lol i just got the demo and its by far the best basketball game iv'e played. Not only are the graphics and gameplay great, but it's so fun to play. When they talk about making your own go-to-moves, it really makes the game alot more fun.

im was a Live fan converted to a 2k fan, but i think im gonna get live 08 i just downloaded the demo on marketplace and let me say this game is beautiful, the gameplay still needs a little work. if 2k had Lives graphics it would be great. Way to step it up EA. who knows i may one day go back to 2k will see in 09.
