This is the poster song for Domestic Violence. I don't mean that as a knock on Lil Jon because he is screaming real pain even left his house so he wouldn't snap.
man this shit is so real like i just start fuckin rippin heads when i listen to this and like i blast it in my car and my trunk starts bouncin to the beat and my wheels start blowin out cause of this fuckin tough bass

@xxdeaddollxx, not coo to be racist guyy. so not cool. slayer took half the song to even say words, no disrespect to them. but you were unnecessary.entirely.
@otownprince12 they take half the song to start singing, because they are actually using talent to make music unlike putting beats in a computer and repeating them
WHATY THE FUCK!!! !!! FUckin glil john first you steal crazy train and then you rape SLAYERRRRR crossed the fucking line you cunt. You will die in your fucking sleep./
There's a reason that people say they like anything "except rap our country." The reasons to hate both are very similar.
This is like the blues or (decent) country...wallowing in class misery. And unlike contemporary popular country music it does not celebrate that misery...it doesn't laud it as a source of virtue. And unlike a lot of rap music it doesn't celebrate the (internal) causes of such misery.
This avoids one of the major pitfalls of its genre. I approve.
Why do rappers do this? Diddy ruined "Kashmir" and now this "lil john" takes "Mandatory Suicide" and "Raining Blood" and adds crappy lyrics interlaced with profanity. What the hell.
@VirusofLife182 They're not. Perhaps in recent albums they've used some profanity (not NEARLY as much as most rappers), but albums like Reign in Blood, Show No Mercy, and South of Heaven have barely any. "Interlaced" is not even close to the right word.
@DarthKrattus - fair point, but in its own right, Slayer's music is considered profane. As in, all the lyrically gory images it creates. "Raining Blood"? Imagine that. I don't have anything against it, I listen to it. I think some far-rightists would be more concerned about Slayer than Lil John saying "fuck" 3000 times in a song.
@VirusofLife182 But the "profanity" in Slayer's lyrics comes from the lyrical themes themselves rather than added cuss words. If you were to translate this song, for example, it would translate to "Leave Me Alone." Not very powerful. Slayer, however, doesn't need to use swear language to make their lyrics powerful - the concepts they cover are so.
@xMINAmassacre i honestly expected it to be much worse. honestly not that bad. i would have preferred a rapper like eminem or something but its still decent.
@konnod321 lol how did he make it better when its the exact same riff as it was recorded? He just sampled it into the song. Typical mainstream rap fan.
I'm not a rap hater or a Lil' Jon hater or anything like that, but this song kinda sucks...shitty lyrics, really repetative, and adds nothing to the song that they sampled. Wish they had done better, seeing as they have fuggin' RAINING BLOOD as their source material. Ah well.
God this song is awesome. Its so unbelievably ridiculous that to not like it means you take yourself way too seriously. Nothin but real gangsta shit for all you niggas and bitches out there! Love it.
Good for you, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the song is an accurate display of lil jons poor artistic ability. Everyone has there own opinion and I don't care who likes this song, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the song is a display of poor musicianship.
well, see that is where opinion kicks in my friend. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece, far from it. But I AM saying that the song is pretty good, and IMO is in no way a display of poor musicianship.
Like what you want, im cool with that. I myself kind of like this song mostyly for the beat, but that doesn't stop me from believing that it is a dumb song nonetheless.
GUCCI!? Goin HAM!? lmao. Okay, I won't rag on Gucci, I'll just say he sucks to me and I'm glad he has SOME fanbase. You like him, as does my cousin, but ME...noooot a Gucci fan.
Rap has the most generic lyrics out there. The only rapper who expresses anything is eminem. Everything else is just shit lyrics set to a beat. Whoever said rock is all love songs is stupid as he'll.
1) I'm a high schooler in America. You don't grow up this days not hearing tons of rap. I named only one artist that I've heard with lyrics that were meaningful to me cause I've only ever heard one.
2) That arguement doesn't really work when you go one to name 0 rock artists out of a million. So I guess you know that much less about rock than I know about rap.
why is the only rapper rock fans like eminem? i cant help but to think because he is white. also nas, rakim, 2pac, the notorious b.i.g., and a tribe called quest are 10 times more expressive than eminem.
nice try pulling the race card on me. ever heard of Jimi Hendrix? yeah, he's widely viewed as the best guitarist in history and is one of my personal favorites. and guess what? he's not white. calling me racist was worth a try i guess.
anyways, i guess i haven't heard much of those artists' expressive songs because i have been turned off of rap by the stuff that i've heard. bad luck i guess? all i can say for sure is that some of the eminem songs i have heard really have meaning for me.
i wasnt out right saying you were racist, i said i couldnt help but think that it was because he was white. and yes i have heard of jimi hendrix he is one of my favorite artist.

Not all rock songs are about love, "Carry on Wayward Son" isn't about romance and neither is "I'm Eighteen", and Punk is not the same as Emo, Goth is satanic and emo/scremo is about suicidal thoughts, Punk is basically Antisocial like the Sex Pistols are The Ramones. But yeah you're right, in rap you can talk about anything.
@DLyricalDaMakk I hear a more consistent lyrical theme in rap than metal. For any given metal album, there are going to be many different themes. Also, emo screamo and goth arent real music genres
emo/screamo, gothic rock, and punk have as much similarities as gangsta rap and country music. i used to think different rock genres only talk about the same thing and rap talks about everything but i later found that is extremely untrue. i dont like goth and hate emo but i can tell you something about punk. punk's subject matter can be anything from distrust and deception(Liar by Rollins Band) to even topics relating to hip-hop(Pretty Fly For A White Guy by The Offspring).....
.....also every form of music to ever exist has talked about suicidal thoughts (Suicidal Thoughts by Biggie and My Mind Playin Tricks on Me by Geto Boys), emo/screamo doesnt even talk about suicide that much. satanic imagery is mainly used in black metal and death metal and hip-hop artist such as Esham and Three 6 Mafia have consistently used satanic imagery in their music.
@LukeBCtown more white people like lil jon then black people. I remember back in 04 i couldnt go anywhere without some white kid yellin "what" "ok" "yeah". the shit was annoyin as hell lol
clearly u dont shit about sampling.....people dont jus sample any ordinary thing....they sample the best shit known to human ears put they're own drum beat to it....sometimes adding in other samples which is harder to find for it to match the first sample lhh

Sampling anyones music is un-creative and shows how much talent (or lack of it) a person has.
metabollicangel 2 years ago 2
its not sampling, its collaborating, slayer recorded this song with him, he didnt just jack it.
godzilla90fan 2 years ago 3
@metabollicangel
clearly u dont shit about sampling.....people dont jus sample any ordinary thing....they sample the best shit known to human ears put they're own drum beat to it....sometimes adding in other samples which is harder to find for it to match the first sample lhh

Because of Rick Rubin.
