  • I just ordered this for one pure to collect :D! I love the design! Just for 50 euros lol back than 700 XD

  • my GTS 250 is better >.> but this was an awesome card in 2007

  • haha this dude is so fun and he nows a lot about all the cards :P

  • Did evga got into some trouble from Walt Disney back in the day ?

  • It's even funnier looking at this 4 years later :)

  • @marnez390 dude I would pay 200$ to buy it just to keep it

  • It's funny that you can still run out what game you want with this card with at least 30FPS on Full HD resolution on medium settings. :)

  • Why am I watching this? lmao.

  • we need this guy back!!!

  • @RealinAmerica

    He is back!

  • Sigh good old 8800 Ultra.

I dropped 1.2k on mine in 2007. Still going strong.

  • @NullLovesPaintball That thing cost you $1200.00 ???? Holy snapping duck shit !! That's the cost of a mid range system now. WOW

  • @NoGufff That's a high end system here in croatia

  • lol i had one of those :D...it fried though :(

  • 2007... ''whats HDMI?''

  • HOLY SMOKES 650 MHZ!

  • this shit looks awesome even now , in 2011

  • it'll be even funnier next year. 3+1=4

  • RAZETHEWORLD

  • I still want to get one.

I love the placement of the fan.

  • why would ANY one pay extra for an overclocked version?

  • @GT5Enthusiast cuz factory overclocked cards overclock even higher

  • @arni291 that is not true at all. both the OC and the non OC version have the EXACT same specs hardware wise, one may just have a better cooler.

  • @GT5Enthusiast no no no no no, every chip is different and companies test every single chip/processor to see which one go higher in clocks. same ppl some can be strong some not. ive been using evga forum for 2 years so i know facts not theories

  • @arni291 i know technically every chip is different because its impossible to make multiple things perfectly. I have had a few OC versions that didnt OC any where near the stock one did. Example i have a XFX5870 XXX and an reference ASUS 5870. my XFX would not go passed 1000 core and 1300 memory. my reference ASUS 5870 had to be put under water because i was able to hit 1345 core and 1300 memory. I personally think OC edditions are just as much as a OC crapshoot as the references.

  • Beautiful card! I remember the time when i bought one from XFX on May 2007 and i was chocked about the sized and design. Then i SLI whith another XFX and in April 2009 one died (Ram problems). After one month wayting, they gave me a GTX 275. The only thing that i could do was sell the other 8800 Ultra. I loved does cards, so that was hard to me! Then i SLIed the new GTX 275 with the one that XFX gave me, and i must say, that i didn´t saw a huge improvement in performance. 8800 ultra LEGEND

  • 8800gt ultra great card and now

  • This is still one of the best looking cards out, in my opinion.

  • i got one of these even to this day because of physx stuff its gnarrrrr

  • 3 years :D

  • @Aniki1111 and still fighting!! these cards can max out almost every game out there STILL.

  • ...but he never said how much it costed. Does anyone know how much it costs? like as of now? or if you got any recomendations i'm looking for somthin under 100$ that still purty gewd

  • This card still kills some of todays cards. IMO this card was the best ever. Before it showed up, there wasn't any decent performance card. It was a big improvement over the its predecessors. This was a card that ATI dreamed to compete

  • dang my 4890 rapes this card in SLI =/ cant believe I paid 480 bucks for it 2 years ago

  • my gtx285 rapes 4890

  • @godzillaoo7 my 4890 rapes your card in terms of price/performance

  • in your head rofl

  • @TrueYears well, at least my own did =/ but the newer I got was only 160 and I have that on Crossfire with my old one

  • @godzillaoo7 my 5870 Xfire rapes you both

  • is my gigbyte gtx 275 super overclocked better than this?

  • way better, you should check the upload date for this video, it's around 2 and a half years old. and the 275 is fairly new.

  • @saburogamosabros

    Yes A LOT :)

  • Dude the GTX 275 OC is literally like 2 of these in SLI. I have the GTX 275 OC and i scored 15,024 in Vantage. The Ultra gets no where near that.

  • this card is 3 years old, stop pointing out the obvious

  • What the fuck are you talking about? Me saying I have a GTX 275 is obvious? Your a moron and need to stop being an Internet tough guy.

  • @illmagnified he's saying that pointing out that your card is faster than the 8800Ultra is obvious, in which case it is because that card is 3 YEARS OLD

  • DUDE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT- MY COMMENT WAS AN ANSWER TO

saburogamosabros WHO ASKED "Is my Gigabyte GTX 275 faster than this?" Who said anything about stating the obvious? OF COURSE I KNOW THE GTX 275 KILLS THIS CARD! Im a lead computer technician for a living for Christ Sake.

  • well alright, i couldn't see the start comment because of youtube's strange commenting system

  • computer technician or not, anyone could be an idiot,

  • Again- I was answering a question that someone had about whether or not the GTX 275 is faster than this card.

  • @rampageturke and so its still good for a 3 years old card

  • my ALPHA-TEC stock overclocked just beats this card

  • is the ultra better than te normal version or nvidia?

  • Ma 5870 rapes this card.

  • @isurugi Yes but look when that card was made. Also if you're going to compare pricing this card is equivalent to the 5970. So go figure.

  • my hd4870

    rapes this card hahaha!!

  • but was your hd 4870 made around the same time as the 8800 ultra black pearl edition?

  • really dont know but i still rape the card lol

  • i dont know eather so i was hopeing you would know haha

  • my dual GTX 275 rapes this card in the butt!

  • great. the 8800 ultra is over 2 years old

  • @D2checker And it still pwns!

  • @Rzrjo lol. no. its obsolete.

  • @idiiidit 8800 Ultra is obsolete? I have one in my second rig and it can still max almost every game.

  • @Rzrjo maybe, on high resolution? it doesn't support any new features like dx11...you can buy a better card for ~200 right now, but thats what happens when ur card is 2 years old

  • @idiiidit Tell me a DX11 Game that's worth playing except Stalker and Metro 2033.

  • @Rzrjo bfbc2 moh

  • @Rzrjo bad company 2

  • @CameronSung123 barely any difference in visuals on DX11 from DX10...

  • @Rzrjo tessellation looks amazing man :P try it out

  • I actually have the GTX 275! Its driving a 40" TOshiba 1080P 120Hz LCD and it kicks ass! I love playing FPS at 1920X1080 everything maxed out on the bigscreen, it actually makes you dizzy if the lights are off, yes it takes up that much of your field of vision!

  • yes i have a hd 4890 and i wanted to get 275 but i playing on a 24 inch so 4890 is better, but at higher resolutions 275 would be much better

  • Yes GTS 250 is better, and more efficient.

The ultra MAY offer better performance in SOME situations.

  • is the GTS250 1GB Better than 8800 Ultra ?

  • lol no because the ultra has a 384 bit bus vs the shitty 256 on the GTS 250

  • you are right the memory bandwith of the ultra is higher. It depends on the settings you use if you need that. Without AA or something like that the GTS 250 should be better/equal

  • i suppose

  • lololo

  • another reason that the 250 is better is because of its manifacturing process, saves you power

  • No hardware enthusiast really gives two shits about power.

All we care about is temperature and performance.

we normally buy PSU's which have more power than we need anyways

    XD

  • Coño esta tarjeta es mas vieja que la poronga, pero aun sigue siendo la ley!

  • my laptop is a lapburner. idle im at 60c playing crysis 85c

  • Two years ago they used to cost a small fortune now one can land one for $75 on ebay or less. They are so cheap they can be had for the price of a 9600gso.

  • what is the 8800 ultra = to? a 9800gtx+? or what?

  • yeah, pretty much the same thing

  • Ok, thanks!

  • 9800 is just a die shrunk 8800

  • gtx+ is stronger

  • Yup Ultra is the same performance

  • a bit like that, but the ultra is a bit faster in some benchmarks

  • 8800 GT is to a 9800 GT (rebrand)

8800 GTS is to a 9600 GT (performance wise)

8800 GTX is to 9800 GTX (rebrand)

8800 ULTRA is to 9800 GX2 (perf. wise)

    9800 GTX+ is to GTX 250 (rebrand)

  • 8800 GTX to 9800 GTX nor rebrand;

    8800 GTX has G80 core

    9800 GTX has G92 core

8800 ULTRA has no rebrand the GX2 is a dual Card.

  • i said the 8800 ULTRA is to a GX2 Performance wise.

I own bolth so i can verify that for sho

and all the other ones are true performance wise anyways

  • im not very impressed, I can OC my 8500gt to 700Mhz core, 1.4Ghz shader, for like 1/15 of the price. (only slow part is the memory XD)

Im gonna buy a 250gtx anyways when I get the money

  • Your comparing a GPU with less stream processors to one with more stream processors.

  • why a 250gtx? newer cards are coming out.. for that money u could get the HD4870 from ATI.. for about the price

  • This is so funny to look at two years later :D

  • @newclear93

    ha ha 3 years!!!!!!

  • @LazyMax05 LOL, comment is a year old too ... 2+1=3 :)

  • @newclear93 even funnier 3 years later

  • @newclear93 I'm still looking to swap my 4870 for this xD

  • mine dosent have a back plate

    =( idle 68c =(

  • SORRY, BUT WHAT IS THE NEWEST NVIDIA CARD RELASED, PLEASE, AND WHO IS BETER ,OLDER OR NEWEST!!, SORRY MY ENGLISH IS BAD...please!

  • the NVIDIA GTX 295 is the newest nvidia.

  • wait for the gtx 350...

  • the 350 is a 295, however it was going to be named 350. Geforce infinity is coming out.

  • I Get This for 50$ at this week

  • you are the biggest idiot on earth!!!! hahahahahahahahahaha i dont want to give more comments to your statement

  • the 8800 ultra is faster than a ati 4890 or a gtx 295 i tested them all

  • i just kiding 1 gtx 295 is more powerfull than 3 8800 ultras

  • gts 250 pwns this card right??

  • Yeah

  • NO.

  • Yes its based on the 9800 GTX+ But its overclocked a bit.

  • It is faster than the gts 250.

  • GTS 250:

    Higher Shader clock 738MHz

    Higher Core Clock 1836 MHz

    Higher Memory Clock 1100 MHz

    Lower Memory Bandwith 70.4 GB/sec

Lower Pixel Fill Rate 11808 MPixels/sec

    Higher Gigaflops 470.16 Gigaflops

Higher Texture Fill Rate 47232 MTexels/sec

  • 8800 Ultra

    612 MHz

    Lower Shader Clock1500 MHz

    Lower Memory Clock1080 MHz

    Higher Memory Bandwidth 103.68 GB/sec

    GigaFLOPS 384 GFLOPS

Higher Pixel Fill Rate 14688 MPixels/sec

Lower Texture Fill Rate 19584 MTexels/sec

  • 8800 Ultra - 576 GFLOPS, you're idiot! While GTS 250 is only 705.024... But it's not so overclockable as 8800 Ultra! You got it?

  • My EVGA Ultra KO still chews every game out there with my AMD 6000+!! on max settings!!! A heat monster though...

  • well, this is on older model. This card was king about 2 years ago, but now it's the geforce 200 series, and the radion 4870 series that are top of the line. But, never-the-less there all based on the same dx10 architecture

  • sorry i just have to get my geek side out of me its "radeon" not "radion"

  • try upgrading your ram, over clock the cpu and change the graphics card to a 9800gtx+ or better

  • Which Card is best 9800 gtx plus or 8800 ultra?

  • 9800GTX+ :), I have one

  • a gtx260 is 20-50% faster than this card..

  • Comment removed

  • Yep, a lot more stream processors and a little extra memory

  • they r the same but the gtx+ can oc higher and its cheaper

  • yea i cant afford this either, im still using my 3Dfx 5500. Duel Chip Beotche' !!!

  • I like the blackplate of this Card.

  • I have XFX 8800 Ultra Extreme and it totally rocks!!!

  • I can't get one of theese cards, even in my dreams..., becouse my pocket (in my dreams and the reality), just can have enough for a ATi 4670... 8-(

  • Good god... looking at todays videos (you know.. 2008) he has gained some serious weight.

  • volintine : this days yes that ATi is better but this card was launched some good months ago.....smartass....

  • ati 4870x2 is the best card

  • The GTX 295 will beat it.

  • and it has... insane

  • Is 8800 ultra very slower than 4870 x2? Or there is a small difference between these two?

  • neg the difference between the 4870x2 and the 8800ultra is like 60% of performance. 4870 is on par with a gtx 260 and 4870x2 is on par with 2 260s

  • I feel sorry for anybody who bought this overpriced hunk of shit a year ago and is getting pwned by $300 Crossfire setups.

  • Which one is faster ?

    radeon 4870 or this 8800 ultra ?

  • The 4870X2 and 4870 are each more powerful than the 8800 Ultra and cost less money.

  • Thanks for the reply. So waiting a year and a half really payed off :-) I remember how I used to envy my friend for buying this card. I used to have GeForce 4 MX 420 in 2007. Switched to radeon after 6 years of using nvidia card and all I can say is : RADEON CARDS ARE AWESOME. Right now I have the 4870 x2. Bought it after 6 months of saving money lol. Runs every game without lagging except Crysis.

  • hes thinking of the 8800 gt

  • facts...9800gx2 is fastest..cuz it is 2x..right..and also cost like 2x or 1.5x an ordinary 9800gtx..another..if u have any of the 8800gtx ultra,gts512..9800gtx..then those cards have such a minimal point of difference that u should just keep ur wallets in ur pockets guys...wait for a vga series that will really be a bang for ur bucks...else stick with your vga..or add one more for sli...cuz in the end..no point spending 3 to 4x on sumthing less than 10-15% faster

  • the 2x means it has two cores.

  • gtx 280 or hd4870x2 is the fastest...9800gx2 is old news

  • ya and now theres rumours of a dual gpu gtx 200 series, awesome!!!!

  • yer GTX 295

  • yep

  • no, no,no research dude, 8800 ultra beats the 9800gtx, the 9800gtx is jsut a 8800gtx

  • no the 8800 is 112 stream proccesers the 9800 128 also the gpu is 55 instead of 65 @ the 8800 making 9800 able to overclock higher and more stable then a 8800 but its chips really little ... max 30 fps between best 9800 en worst 8800

  • Nvidia make most of the cards now, companies like EVGA just put their sticker on them. They overclock some. There are a few that the actual company selling it designed.

The Ultra shown was a Nvidia reference design, they dont have the facilities to build cards so they use companies like Foxconn to actually manufacture the cards but its all Nvidias design.

So its more Nvidia's card then EVGA's, XFX's etc. You could say its Foxconn's card but they do everything by Nvidia's reference design

  • wait what? lol wheres your proof you fucking douche bag i see your hear to tell everyone off but you sound like an idiot who THINKS he know's something about computers

  • and for all you n00bs that keep saying its a "nvidia card not evga" Nvidia = makes the actual GPU chip. the other companies are just resellers and make the boards that the chips go on.

  • actually the ultra is faster then the 9800 gtx. before you make claims have the info to back them up, otherwise you are just fucking retarded.

  • The ultra, expecially an overclocked version is easily faster than a 9800gtx, but its just under evga's 9800gtx+ superclocked which is a really nice card.

It's not sold now becauseits old technology, nvidia doesnt make them anymore because nividia wants to sell their new stuff, shops can only supply what nividia makes.

  • hey can you hook up a xbox 360 to that? lol?

  • My bad, I mistyped. You dont have to attack me for making an honest mistake. And you are right, you can't get a pure nvidia card. My cards are XFX, with cooling from zalman.

  • Sorry. Wow I am jealous. I have an EVGA 8800 GS. It's an okay card. Good for DX9 Crysis on High. Sorry. I didn't mean to "attack" your statement.

  • qurwa ta karta jest masakrująca !!!!!! widziałem

  • I actually have two of those cards in SLI, but its nvidia and not evga :)

  • Do you even know what you are talking about. To my knowledge you cannot get just a pure "Nvidia" card. This is Nvidia but on an Evga board. Nvidia makes the platform and chips, and Evga makes the cooling unit and silicon board.

  • 8400gt>8500gt>8600gt>8600gts>9600gt>8800gs>8800gts g80>8800gt>8800gts g92>8800gtx>8800ultra>9800gtx>9800gx2>gtx 260>gtx 280

    correct me if im wrong.

  • your arrow signs are the wrong way round and its 8400gs

  • You are. 8800gs>8800gts g80

  • Thats what i typed.

  • other than the signs wrong ur right. its hard to say about the 8400 and the 8500, they are about equally powerful if u get eh right one

  • you made some mistakes lol

  • Yes the 9800gx2 outperforms the gtx280,

i want xfx's xxx version of the g2 cos that is their fastest card lol.

and no 8800gs is not as fast as the 9600gt it is as fast as a 9600gso because its the same card XD lol

  • the 8800gs should be behind the 9600gt and the 9800gtx should be behind the ultra and the 9800gx2 is ahead of them all.

i cant believe people dont realise that th gx2 is still nvidias fastest card althoguh it is a dual card.

  • close but it's 8800gtx > 8800 ultra > 9800gtx > 9800gx2 > geforce gtx280

  • u fool the 9800gtx is no way not faster than this card...but the 9800gx2 is
