Eventually ''The MIGHTY EMPEROR'' was a 2nd waved 0v black metal band and faust was the original drummer 0v ''THE MIGHTY EMPEROR'' and trym was frm ENSLAVED i think i complete ther entire discog...
It was recorded before Varg killed Euronymous, in July 93, during the England tour with Anathema and Cradle of Filth. Just after this quite short tour Emperor started recording In the nightside eclipse. Samoth was a friend of Varg for some time, he played as a guest on his album, but after Varg´s second imprisonment, they were getting along no more. Varg declared he is a Nazi, supports Aryan race and hates black metal, and Samoth only commented in with "fuck off with Varg."
Not Mortiis, but Tchort. Mortiis was departed in the early 93, for some personal conflicts, especially with Faust. And it was told his family urged him to leave so, because they didn´t like seeing him with that "strange people", like the members of norwegian black metal scene were. But mostly it was because of Faust.
I could see Emperor playing Mayhem songs..beacuse Mayhem were their Inspiration along with all the other Norwegian black metal bands, all doing what they were doing because of MayheM!!
Yes, they were inspired by Mayhem, but not so strongly. Of course, Mayhem guys were the founders of whole that scene, the were the first ones, and because of that, they were natural leaders. But it´s not true, that bands like Emperor or Enslaved have been playing they music because of Mayhem, or only due to Mayhem´s influence. They were into metal before they ever met Mayhem, and Emperor started as more death than black metal band, on "Wrath of the tyrant."
I find Ihsahn to be VERY attractive however, I wonder why most of this footage was filmed below his waist?!

Uhh... No. Emperor were inspired by Mercyful Fate and Bathory, musically. Stylistically, they were influenced by Mayhem.
