Hagi was a lot like today's Messi. Pretty short :) , very calm way of controlling the ball, amazing acceleration, great dribbling skills, BEST long shot in history, though it was more a "lob" and precise kinda shot then power. Hagi scored a lot of goals but he was more of an assist man, that's how football was played back in the day. Number 10 of the team was supposed to be the brain of the team and develop the attack phase.

He took part with the Gheorghe Hagi football academy at „Mundialito(a international tournament for children), where they reached the semi-finals, beating Juventus 12 year group 3-0 on the way. Hagi says about him that it has more potential than him, being able to play with both of his feet with equally skill. But it remains to be seen if he will be able to step up to his name.

I remember like yesterday, the world cup of USA 94. I was 11 years old and i didnt like football. But when i watched HAGI playing with romania, i was hipnotized. It was like magic the way he played the ball.

Since then i love football. All i can say is thanks Mr. HAGI :)
