It was a private hire on a wedding job, so not his bus. It's easy enough to find out who the operator is, so just look it up. Would be interesting to see what led to this confrontation. Bus drivers are allowed to refuse their permission to let you take their picture, but it's legal so long as you can prove that the picture was specifically of the bus and not of the driver, but I get the feeling there's more to this than meets the eye...

I got a bus driver fired for opening the bus door in the middle of an intersection just to yell at me for overtaking on a dotted yellow line. When I talked to the supervisor, I found out that opening the door in an intersection is a violation of company policy which results in immediate termination. Just get this guy fired.. Doesn't matter if you're at fault or if he's at fault, he has to stay professional in any condition

I am fortunate to have links to several bus companies in my area and I cycle everywhere, so if drivers see me, they normally give me a fair bit more room whilst overtaking and go easy near me. but anyway... the thing is a cycle lane is a cycle lane and indeed it is not to be invaded by vehicles, but if the offending vehicle cannot help the situation, i.e. the road is narrow, or there is an obstruction, in my eyes, it's part and parcel of cycling on the road. take a chill pill and enjoy yaself :)

I was wondering if anyone had ever met a cyclist that didn't bitch about every car driver in history? I use to cycle a lot in the city and it is dangerous as many cars don't look out for bikes but you can't change that it's just the way it is. Cycling around a lot of traffic is dangerous, get over it! Now I'm a mum I take the bus it's much safer and don't even get me started on parents who put their kids on the back of bikes, idiots!

So my m8 called police and he told them about pics, they confiscate shop owner camera. as I said all depends of situation. I dont know u 'n u dont know me so if u take my pictures i dont give a shit :) take care
@exploz2 unfortunatly if your in a public place there is nothing you can do, the only laws that protect anyone from being filmed in public are the ones about HMS and anti terrorism, and even then there has to be a way of backing up a claim. that being the only law regarding photography in a public place which will be used by only a very small number of people
Its is not illegal to record without permission. Walk down any city centre and you will have been recorded numerous times. If youre going to try to sound superior, at least get your facts right.
It is an offence to Record a conversation, when the other persons are unaware of they are being Video or Audio recorded. Plus recording without permission, is in fact illegal. I use to cycle a lot in the city and it is dangerous as many cars don't look out for bikes but you can't change that it's just the way it is. Cycling around a lot of traffic is dangerous, get over it! Now I'm a mum I take the bus it's much safer and don't even get me started on parents who put their kids on the back of bikes, idiots!

So my m8 called police and he told them about pics, they confiscate shop owner camera. as I said all depends of situation. It is an offence to Record a conversation, when the other persons are unaware of they are being Video or Audio recorded. Plus recording without permission, is in fact illegal. Also more of our roads is now having cycle lanes put in. For example on a bridge in our city we used to have two lanes going in each direction, now we only have one as a cycle lane was put it. Traffic used to flow smoothly and now there are traffic jams there most of the time purtely because of the cycle lane which is not needed. US CAR DRIVERS PAY THE ROAD TAX, Cycles do not. The bridge was never designed to have 3-4 lanes of motortraffic. SCC also did surveys and found that most drivers were very local and of single occupancy.

While my car gets MOT'd, I am back on a bike. Cyclists go out of their way to deliberately pick wars with motorists and I can see it. Vehicles are here, you deal with it, if you learn to be nice to cars, cars will be nice back. I act curteous towards cars, its so much nicer and more civilized. Stop being selfish and vindictive, its you who is your own worst enemy not cars. So where is it going wrong? I'll tell you the problem: You can't see another human behind the wheel of a car thats why!
