  • Hey there Andy, thanks for pointing out your fave lyric and all the YT style love your showing my song. hehe actually I can't say dating a Greek or perhaps Italian or any male with a hot blooded nature is bad for songwriting, lots o frustration = supreme lyrics ;)

  • The gap between the two trees is a way for the puma? Nice song and adapted area. But the right fir stands a little bit askew!

  • Franzzz, I had a strange and interesting dream last night and guess what? there truly were two puma's! not joking and you know what I was trying to do? film them up close five feet away from touching one, I guess my subconscious disregards safety for footage, ha.

  • Mary, you are quite an amazing talent. You seem born with the gift. I always enjoy your performances. I love the way you added the strum for the bridge. It was very passionate gave me goosebumps. I appreciate you understand the dynamic of picking and strumming to add to the moment. Come by NPCC soon. Let me know if you ever need any sultry harmonica to a tune or two. It would be my pleasure, We gig most weekends, in the area we would love to have you play. Warm regards and Peace.

  • Hi russha717, I've only listened to one harp player at NPCC, his melodies are just right for every piece he accompanies. I'm pleased to hear from you and be invited back for a collaboration too. Possibly next Wednesday I might be able to. I'd let it be known on facebook if I do. I'd also enjoy performing a show there it's been ages :) all my best to you.

  • Hi Mary!

You always whip up nice videos. I really love this outstanding nature setting. Well done! Any moose in the park? Gotta love moose... :) I thought I saw a glimpse of one 'Drifting Away' on a 'moldy' log at about 3:11... lol... :)

Glad to see you enjoying the beautiful National Park. Looks like a great place to hang and hike... Just watch out for Moose in heat... :)

  • Hi Ron!

Nah, I didn't get to see a moose : *( would have loved to, maybe next time. Though at Olympic National Park I met with three deers, a handsome buck, blue grouse and the infernal gray jay - they're in heat for your food ;) thank you for watching.

  • Howdy Mary,

Well, despite Bullwinkle not making an appearance for your enjoyment, sounds like you fared well as far as your personal encounter with some live wildlife. Beware the gray jay in heat (Watch your eyes - remember the old Hitchcock classic - The Birds?). That movie kinda freaked me out a bit when I was just a youngin.

I just watched a great PBS broadcast on the Black Mamba in Swaziland. The fastest snake in the world, and one of the most poisonous. I'm glad they're not in the US.

    Joguitac

  • Hi,

Joguitac, I'm pleased to receive your nice compliment. Wishing you a great week.

    Mary

  • I agree with Robert below. This song lives up to its title. It's so soothing and whispy, that I felt myself drifting off. I like the alternating rhythms and switchover from fingerpicking to plectrum, too. You have such wonderfully lovely places to record up there, Mary. It looks very conducive to writing. I miss the green trees of Michigan... Peace, ~Jon

  • howdy Jon~ great to hear from you. I miss the green trees of Mount Rainier National Park too. They're definitely piled with snow this time of year though I'd like to see that too : } I've heard Michigan gets amazing snow? I'm glad you enjoyed the plectrum and strumming - it's a new arrangement from the version I had when I was 16.

  • Your music makes my cares and worries drift away. Beautiful background!
