.Norm authored a book called "When Cats Go Wrong" and contains a CD with him singing other cat themed tunes. If you get me an address I will be pleased to send it to you.
We're not sure where Norm went ,up or down, but wherever ,it really doesn't matter as he has friends in both places.
Norm was an addicted romantic and had a special interest in cats who I suppose because of their nonjudgemental nature offered him unrelenting love and affection.
(Norm Hacking has an information bio on Wkipedia)
Obviously, you had a strong connection to your own cat 'Zimba' and wanted to do something special to honour his devotion. It''s a wonderful effort and Norm's tune was an appropriate backdrop
Zimba died of massive kidney failure at age (approximately) 8 years. It's a common problem for cats, and I encourage all cat owners to do what you can to get your kitties to drink lots of water throughout their lives.
I read that cats like to feel that they have "found" their water, so they like it better when it is placed somewhere away from their food. This has seemed to work well with my two kitties back in Australia who have always loved their water and are now turning 13 years old.
That made me cry. I had an orange nfc. His name was Pinky. I only had him for 7 years before he disappeared one day. It took me 3 years to get another cat. That made me sad:-(
Yeah, I lost my own orange kitty in 1998 after spending 15 years of my life with him. I am adopting a Ragdoll kitten in a few weeks and am looking forward to finally being a kitty daddy again. Thanks for sharing that with us, God bless you.
I have a 7 year old tabby that I'm convinced must have a significant degree of Norwegian forest in her. Looks almost like your Sid. Can imagine how you must feel, having such a wonderful friend for over 20 years.
What a brilliant tribute to a loved cat. We all forget that one day our bundles of joy will be assending to the great cat santuary in the sky and this is a very appropriate way of remembering them.
Ahhhh, I lost mine about 6 months ago. Makes me wish I could get another. But work is in limbo now, don't know where I'll be. So for now, I watch others on the internet... :(
im sorry

NORM HACKING REMEMBERED
I knew Norm Hacking (deceased) and he owned that Orange cat of which he sang.
He had an unusual affinity for cats
It was a pleasant yet sad experience hearing him sing one of his many, many
colourful tunes.Norm was a prolific song writer and extraordinary entertainer.
RIP

I'm sorry to hear about Norm's passing. It's a fantastic song and his obvious love for his cat is very touching. I hope they are together again now.

It's very sad losing a so loved being, but the most important thing are the moments we spent with them, making our and their lives better.
