  • LOL wtf!!!! Never seen anything like this, I've seen dirty teams and dirty players, but a ref doing THIS? Holy shit, take his ref card away and burn it already wtf

  • Everybody calm down. Regardless of who won or loss, whether SC ultimately scored, a school's tradition, how great a team they are, who you voted for, whether we should be in Iraq...it still stands that refs should not interfere with the game. SEC refs love to interfere, why do you think the SEC has to apologize to some team every other week.

  • Yeah, well, Iowa thrashed USC's asses in the Outback Bowl, so you can blame the refs for Garcia's 3 interceptions and his fumble too, I guess.

This is such BS. He would have gotten hit on the play anyway by the safety coming up on the run. Besides, the ref is probably outweighed by 75 lbs. It's not like he could have stopped Garcia, running right at him. The ump isn't even wearing pads...

  • Firstly, jerkoff, nobody is blaming the refs for SC losing. SC got a touchdown on that play anyway. Secondly, no, the ex-SEC defensive lineman ref is NOT outweighed by Garcia.

  • who wo? and when wuz this? i nvr keep up wth usc and lsu

  • Hackett deliberately made contact and should have been sanctioned for his violation of protocol.

  • Yeah! Did you see him watching the offensive live he could tell which way they were going to run. Then he shift as if insync with the defense. Hey maybe he knew lsu's calls shift right. So, he could nail the QB as he came around. Are you really serious. Remeber. The refs are not wearing pads. And are usually out weighted by 75-100lbs. Do you want to hit some else like that on purpose.

  • omfg I can?t believe this man actually stole my lingerie and took pictures of them!

  • i believe the gamecocks scored on this drive anyway so this play meant nothing im a life long usc fan but this is still funny he through the shoulder into him and even stared him down afterward garcia was owned in this play dont be so serious it really doesnt matter to anyone but garcia i bet next time he's in jail he gets beat down if a ref can do that lol

  • GEAUX TIGERS...and ref

  • not a south carolina or LSU fan...he tried to put a hit on him...pretty weird video for sure

  • He clearly just got out of position. There was no way he was going to score. Yep there are a lot of bitter South Carolina fans.

  • SC scored on the next play. SC fans never blamed the ref for losing so stop trying to start something that isn't there.

  • ref are payed off

  • You guys need to leave that ref alone. The only thing he did wrong was he didn't wrap up.

  • Right. Next time he tries that, they will lay the old man out. What a fool.

  • OK, this is complete BS. Hackett clearly moved into the play to nail the guy. No matter which angle you watch they all show he had his eyes on the guy and deliberately placed himself in a position to cold cock the player.

I say remove the SOB - If for no other reason than he will probably be carted off next game he officiates. What a dick.

  • looks like we have some bitter south carolina fans on this page. lol I guess you guys overlooked the 3 lsu players flying towards garcia. there were 3 lsu players there waiting on garcia. so this was a harmless play, HILARIOUS AS HELL! yet harmless. lol

perhaps maybe if your qb would have spent more time in the weight room and less time drunk driving he would not be out there getting owned by referees. lol

  • Unbelievable..If I was Garcia, my next pass would have been a linedrive right at that ref's nutsack!!!

  • That is exactly what that ref needs, to spit up his nads!

  • this is blantant football fixing!! He should be removed and reviewed....way to go NCAA and making fixing your sports more obvious!

  • he squared up

  • The only reason he's in that spot (out of position) is that he thought the play was going inside, so he moved to get out of the way and get a good angle. Instead, he positioned himself in the QB's path. The QB also cut inside just as the ref stepped forward to try to get behind the play. Ref had no way of knowing that a defender was closing in; he obviously thought the QB was sprinting for the flag.

  • trying to remember his player years

  • I mean come on - how could that ref say it wasn't intentional???

  • definitely intentional
