That was amazing! Great Song, and the Octave Mandolin is an amazing instrument...ive been looking to purchase one. May I ask you where you got it and how much it cost?
@Danielcory Thanks! I ordered it online from a Macnichol Guitar out of utah or something. I had been looking around for one for a while and called few places throughout the country and everybody who had it raved about the sound. So I took a chance and ordered it without ever hearing it. Everybody comments at how great it sounds! Weber certainly created a very fine instrument. Pricey though! Over 2 grand. If that's out of your price range, Trinity College has some cheaper chinese made ones.
@Danielcory it's a Weber Bitterroot A style octave mandolin. Last time I was at the Music Emporium in Lexington Ma, they had a used octave mandolin that was nice! call them up they may still have it in stock
@slimpickensrx I've been searching for an octave mando or an irish bouzouki or even an irish tenor banjo, now I know another place to keep looking, I've got mr music in allston and sandy's in cambridge basically on call for one music emporium in lexington is now on that list. My resonator mandolin and a4 style mando are great but something a little deeper like this would be perfect
