i think these animals are butchered for meat. rather than just slaughtering for meat, the rodeo folks in Wyoming found a use for them in entertaining the crowd. either way these animals become meat. for the most part this is the culture of Wyoming country people so it appears. sure they don't care for these animals, but they will die as meat to be sold anyway. calf meat are sold in your local groceries. if you're against this, don't purchase another calf meat then?

I think that the people in the rodeo should be put in the cow and horses positions then we will see how long they want to keep doing it. After they get a few neck snaps and a broken limb they might think twice about what they are doing to the animals. I have never been to a rodeo but after watching this video I am glad I never went.

when i ride my bike past fields of these poor animals, how they have dried up grasses to try to live on, they're so hungry and they look at me so sad. i know their owners will be using them for this stupidity. i've seen the practices in the evenings and they're not for food. they're little helpless pawns to these creepy bastards. my rich neigbors own them. their 100 strong horse band had shrunk to 25 mysteriously. don't know where they went. babies too.
These poor babies; that second calf tried so hard to put that foot down. Instead of helping him, they made sure to chase him out of the arena as quickly as possible. How can I help?

It has all become too harsh because they fight for times. These are events done everyday/season on a ranch. We need these animals for food. I don't talk nice to my salad every time I sit down at dinner. I agree Rodeo has become ridiculous. But this is the reality of a working class ranch. I agree with the poster, I'd like to see you rip out your nail from the nail bed and tell us it doesn't hurt. Not to mention, that the horn is MUCH larger than a single fingernail and would hurt MUCH worse than that. And think about what a horns purpose is, why on earth would you think, "It's not like they are attached that hard!"

I think that the people in the rodeo should be put in the cow and horses positions then we will see how long they want to keep doing it. After they get a few neck snaps and a broken limb they might think twice about what they are doing to the animals. I have never been to a rodeo but after watching this video I am glad I never went.
