My understanding is that the issue with Carragher and Scholes was based around spending time with family. They simply notified the manager that they werent available for selection because (esp in carragers situ) that they didnt want to be picked a as a squad playerand then end up getting minimal (if any ) playing time. My understanding is that the issue with Carragher and Scholes was based around spending time with family. They simply notified the manager that they werent available for selection because (esp in carragers situ) that they didnt want to be picked a as a squad playerand then end up getting minimal (if any ) playing time. Furthermore, he does state that in time of crisis (ie this world cup) he would make himself availible. Personally, I cant see the problem with his statement.
