  • I had an accident 5 years ago where I knocked two of my top front teeth. Since then, my speech has never been the same. The orthodontists said the shape of the teeth are fine and that I should speak to a speech therapist. I have noticed a slight gap in the upper section in between the two teeth. Could this have given me a lisp? Or may it have been that while I was wearing a denture for the better half of a year, my body adapted to a different shape and size? Please help

  • Thank you

  • You make learning English fun.

  • yor techig vry vry good !

  • can you tell me the tongue position and teeth position for pronunciation of S?

  • @SickOfJoo The back of your tongue is arched in your slightly opened mouth, and the tip is behind your teeth. You blow air over your tongue.

  • @EnglishLessons4U oh! thanks :D

  • @EnglishLessons4U when i say S are front teeth touching or back teeth touching?

  • Hello :)

my problem is that I can't pronouce the words (better, letter, water, bitter...etc) these kinds of words perfectly! can you please help me? :)

  • @PrinceOF9Imagination to say these words. break the word in half - say "bet -ter", wa - ter, bit-ter!!!!

  • Thank you, but when native English speakers say them they seem like (badder, wadder..) or something like that!! thanks again :)

oh, and I can't say later lol

  • your video is really good. i can learn a lot from here! thanks a lot really!

  • Some of you Europeans can't pronounce the "Th" sound...don't feel bad, I can't do the vibrating "R" in Italian, Spanish and the Dutch language.

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics That's because you are gay.

  • @InertLoop Can you say the vibrating "R"? Say "carro" right now...how does it sound?

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics Carro? Sounds carro.

  • @InertLoop Yeah idiot!! but was there funny sound with your tongue?

  • Wow this lady is wired. Still the video helped a lot, made me feel like a bit of an idiot tho :s

  • @gmam717 That's because you are retarded.

  • teacher it really helped me a lot .God bless U

  • It should have been mentioned that the English language actually has a voiced th [ð] as in "this" or "these".

some learners make the mistake of pronouncing "these" with an unvoices th instead of a voiced th.

It helps to compare the pronounciations of "these"[ð] and "thieves"[θ].

    Thanks for your effort.

  • thx :)

  • thanks

  • thanx

  • ur scary

  • I think she said "mouths" and often when native say that, the "th" is assimilated and it becomes almost "mouse".

  • @Kreloar she said mouths, when people say mouths the "th" is more like the "th" sound when you say the. not like the "th" in thin or thicks

  • @TairyGreen89

    really liked ur comment

  • @Kreloar hahaha, you're right. but it's more like "mouze" with a "Z"

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics We don't use that word in my country, that's brownie word. Here we say "automovil", "auto" or "coche". Underrrrrrstood, yanqui?

    Define "funny sound", please :)

  • @InertLoop God you're an idiot!! that's like us saying "automobile" instead of "car"...yeah, it's just easier.

but the vibraitng R with your tongue!!!! say "perro"...

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics peRRo... peeerrrrrrrrooooo...

  • @InertLoop if you're not gonna take me seriously...then leave me alone.

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics It doesn't sound "funny" to me.

  • @InertLoop but do you understand the sound?? pero tu compredias la sound?

  • i say YES for you

  • Thank you very much . It was very difficult pronunciation Th and S for me.

Now , I understand how I said . Thank you . Have a nice day.
