John McCain foresaw the impending Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac Mortgage Crisis more than two years before it happened, and co-sponsored legislation that would have required greater oversight of the mortgage lending entities. But, of course, that legislation was torpedoed by the Democrats, never making it out of committee. Obama did nothing to speak out at the time in behalf of the legislation

Obama took $126,349 from Fannie Mae. McCain in 2005 tried to reform Fannie Mae. In 2006 OFHEO reported on the abuses at Fannie Mae. In 2002 Bush admin tried to reform Fannie Mae and Barney Frank said there was no crisis at Fannie Mae and they didn't need any reform. Actually last time I checked it was at 11% and Nancy Pelosi's is somewhere in the 20 percentile. You presume I don't criticize my own party which is untrue the reason it's at 11% is simple. They have not changed the course of the country. They fold on several important issues like off shore drilling and the FISA bill. Not until recently have democrats really started fighting for what they believe in and even then very few do Jim Webb and Dennis Kucinich stand out...

Seem to me that John McCain is playing with fire. His supporters/followers need to face reality...baROCK going to win! With McCain gaining the republican nomination waaay back in April you would think his campaign would have taken a page out of HRC's play book and continue to hammer baROCK after he gained the dem nomination...that's what I would have done/suggested if I were his campaign manager...oh well!
