Awesome sound, I have a custom exhaust on my S-type R and it makes it sound a lot better the with stock. View the cold start video I uploaded and you will hear it :)

What I don't understand is why people put 2.5" exhaust piping on a FI V8 when they belong on FI I4's?? At least put 2.75" to 3" but should at LEAST be 3" alone for FI V8's. Hell they put 2.75" on NA V8's.

Sounds alright though, should've done more revving though.

Its 2.5" per bank though, so the same as a 2.5 on a 4cyl. It wont be restrictive at all in this application.

g luck with the back pressure. i have the same setup with vortex mufflers x pipe and high flow resignators. it souds nice but it got alot slower

oh my god that sounds fucking nasty! what mufflers did you use? I mean, what part number? Did you put resonators in there? I would imagine you did cause that's pretty quiet for 2.5" and no resonators

The mufflers are just universal Magnaflow mufflers. Im not sure about part numbers though. The factory resonators were completely removed and there are no other resonators. The is actually much much louder in person.

I also put Magnaflows on my 05 s-type and I love how they sound outside, but it is way way too loud inside. Did you also have this issue?

No my dad and I are used to the cabin noise and it isnt bothersome at all. We normally drive with the radio off just to listen to the exhaust =]
