  • i prefer this mono mix better than stereo. classic.

  • Template for Andy Partridge's greatest works? This couldn't sound more like XTC if it tried!

  • you may be able to find a copy of "moose on the loose", but those are getting rare nowadays...you know they mutated into Patto an amazing band

  • I just had to stop by and hear this gem again.....superb song.

Thanx again for uploading this....more people should know about this band/song

they sure had alot of quality music and musicianship, songwriting, etc

all of the good elements of psyche plus a little jazz...can't get enough of it!

  • Mick Patto a man way before his time Loved and miss him xx

  • I love you and miss you Mick xx

  • like

  • Anything released on vinyl by the great Timebox on the Deram label is so hard to find where on earth did you find this??

  • As a viynl records collector of 50s,60s and 70s music, anything released by Timebox on viynl is incredably hard to find on the Deram label. Even the compliation CD of Timbox that came out a few years ago is sadley now deleted. Timbox released some brilliant tracks, there cover version of Frankie Valli's 'Beggin' is stunning and should of gone to number 1. it is just a pitty they were so underatted back then. This is propper music not like the crap you get these days which I absolutley hate

  • @r1u2g3r4ats

Search for Timebox on The Ollie Halsall Archive site

  • Sounds like a lost track from XTC circa Oranges and Lemons. Sterling.

  • just found this quite by accident. it's great! cheers

  • Amazingly,I found Timebox in exactly the same manner. I saw an advert for one of those bloody Sportswear companies that the chavs love so much, found a Frankie Valli track from the said advert, came to YouTube and searched.

Found the track but also hooked up with the Timebox version, which was FAR superior...bob's your uncle!

  • god bless youtube eh? if you like your tuneful psych you should check out The Marmalade - I See The Rain. great song if you don't know it

  • I found it by accident too. I searched for Madman Running through the Fields by Dantalian's Chariot, and clicked on the link to this. What a tune.

  • Just checked out the Dantalian's chariot tune you mentioned, another classic, cheers!

  • How have this great band remained so HIDDEN from history?!!!

  • Tell me about it. I'm not even from the 60s era. I was born on the heels of it and if it wasn't for advances in technology in the form of, for example, Youtube, it's quite very likely I would have died not ever being aware of them and so many other groups that weren't as media pushed as the other big names, if you know what I mean.

  • This brings back happy memories of lazy summer days.

    Remarkable!

  • The ethereal effect of this song was achieved via the unusual amount of 6 chords. It starts out on E6 followed by F#6 etc.

  • FAVORITED, MAN!!!

  • Love it!

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!! I have this on the Nuggets, but still!! This is one of the greatest songs EVER, I don't know why!! Its just so perfect!!

  • Classic

  • Acid drops & Flying Soucers ♫

  • I heard the first 5 seconds of this, closed my eyes, and am now waiting for Oasis to cover it...This is bloody good,ya know!

  • The Gallagher Bros would have to grow a brain between them to come up with anything half as good as this.

  • You are correct. My comment was meant to be somewhat facetious, but as the Gallagher brothers are now no more,it is purely academic.

  • i love this song

    thanks

  • Love this tune - 1st heard it on the Bam Caruso compilation Illusions from the Crackling Void in the late 80's

  • nice one, just what the doctor ordered

  • ...have to agree there best tune , dopamine rush every time or is it serotonin, I'm not sure ,thanks a lot!

  • This song always makes me happy.

    Beautiful tune. Their best work!

  • PURE PSYCHEDELIC POP AT ITS BEST.

  • Amusing to think this song WASN'T an A-side, haha.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Featuring two future Rutles... Barry (John Halsey) and Leppo (Ollie Halsall).

  • Great tune from that great Timebox

  • Very nice. Thanks again for posting this! great song. I dig the kinda Latin part they stuck in there, too.
