  • Lastly, I don't even go to the COR church (my Mom does), but if you actually went to see the sermon series you'd see that Adam wasn't presenting an "I know what's right so you should vote this way" message."

Therefore, he was not imposing on you or anyone to vote the way he votes. He simply brought up all the normal liberal and conservative arguments that people have and tried to help people look at the issues through the lens of their faith. He brought up both sides of issues good & bad.

  • Also, there is no "governing" Christian society to govern ourselves. We all submit to the same US government.

I don't know who you are personally dealing with that is imposing their political views on you but I can tell you that our current president is certainly imposing his political views on me and saying that he knows what is right. All of us are trying to do the "right thing" and democrats and republicans argue just as much as people of faith because people of faith ARE on both sides!

  • If a non-religious person can lobby as pro-choice, as against the poor, as healthcare only for some, then why couldn't a person of faith lobby as pro-life, for the poor, and for healthcare for all? That's their right just as much even though they're "behind" the wall of separation.

The U.S. USED to do a very good job of protecting people practicing their Christian faith but day by day they are actually getting worse.
