  • applaud to the real human lil man who stands up!!! im proud of him.

  • This 10 year old kid is smarter than 80% of the entire population of the United States.

  • @Chapter1Tormented He really is. Many Americans would rather say "uh uhhh in the Bible" to which I reply "I don't believe in the Bible" and then they don't have a foot to stand on.

  • @SillyGayBoy I feel bad lol people seem to forget religion is a preference, so no preference should hold over the way somebody was born.

  • @Chapter1Tormented I keep seeing comments "you can't be a Christian and be okay with gay people" to which I remind people "there are gay accepting churches. Just because yours isn't doesn't mean they are all that way". People think their church is the only one. Strange.

  • @SillyGayBoy I love God, and God loves me. I hate religion, because religion hates all of us.

  • @Chapter1Tormented Too many religious people seem very confused to me; like my 2 friends who are Republican and probably are against gay marriage and gay anything but they sidestep those conversations around me and my boyfriend.

  • @SillyGayBoy It's all about appearances, but at least they are still your friends =)

  • @BSagitarius Clearly you're uneducated and an all around imbecile. Go do something useful.

  • @Bruhahaable Just because he doesn't want to stand and swear by a false pledge doesn't make him ungrateful. He has his beliefs and his opinions and he wants to make a difference.

  • I don't like this.... not because of the opinions, but because it is an honor to be an American. I feel like he is ungrateful to be an American. I like that he is making opinions for himself, and I don't necessarily disagree with his ideas. But, to not show respect for a country as great as the US is horrible. You could always live in Iran...

  • @Bruhahaable At least in Iran im getting shot with the same bullets as everyone else.

  • @Bruhahaable he has the right not to be proud to be an American and there would be plenty of legitimate reasons for him not to be.

  • @Bruhahaable I was thinking along the same line as you were, until I watched the entire video. Not only is he intelligent, but he's sincere in his beliefs. He isn't being malicious or foul towards the flag, nor the country, and he doesn't express any contempt for America as a country. In fact, I think the point that he is making is that America is based on equality liberty and justice for all, it's the foundation which we were created on, so why are we walking away from it? That's just my take.

  • You're a champ kid, good on you. And also since when is not pledging allegiance juvenile delinquency?

  • His parents must be so proud. I know I would be.

  • Lol homophobia is a fear of showing emotions, not gays.

  • God believes in acceptance and having UNCONDITIONAL love for ALL others! God created man and knew we would sin so he sent his only son to die on the cross. And as he hung there on the cross he vowed that our sins would be forgiven. Whether you lie, have premarital sex, envy others, or even love something of the same sex, Jesus sacrificed himself so that you won't have to go to hell for it. Can we all stop spreading hate please?

  • What you guys don't understand is that you are being blinded by your religion! Do you not see that amazing boy? While all the other kids in his class are ridiculing him and calling him a "gaywad" he is using a college level vocabulary! He's doing things that the majority of the world believes they can't. He's standing up for what he believes and he's making people listen! He decided to listen to the words that our country teaches us to mindlessly mimic and realized that he didn't agree with it!

  • "I said very solemnly.. and with a little bit of malice in my voice You can go jump off of bridge" *LOLgasm*

  • AWESOME KID!!

  • Come on already! No one in the USA has any rights anymore !

  • I don't understand how some people have the nerve to criticize a young boy who's not only extraordinary because of his intelligence and awareness of the world at such a young age, and on top of all of this, disagree with what he's doing. He is taking a stand for what he believes in, and I think he is completely right. Gays should have equal rights and liberty just like any other person in America, and finally someone has taken a stand and pointed out that our pledge does not stand true to this.

  • I feel sorry for that kid that he is being taught that gay or lesbian marriage is fine. It is Not

  • @Amtrak504 That's okay man, we all feel sorry for you.

  • @Amtrak504 This Bible is a made up fairy tale

  • God said, ' One Man, One Woman.' Not "two woman" or "two men"

  • @Amtrak504 Just because you believe in an imaginary man in the sky doesn't mean everyone does. I promise not to ram my beliefs down your throat if you promise to do the same...ok?

  • @Amtrak504 Prove it. LOL

  • WOW...WHAT A STAND!

  • They're so gay

  • Comment removed

  • This kid is brilliant. He's great.

  • this is who we need for cogress! Seriously!

  • Man his school sucks if they teaching this kinda stuff and on another note don't pledge ur allegiance just gtfo

  • HAH! This kid talks about racism and sexism for all, the exclusion of gays and lesbians, not to mention special needs children and adults who are treated like crap by teachers, classmates and authority figures on a daily basis. I would hope that I had to write a 1000-word essay as punishment, because I would be getting this all down as showing America that there is indeed NOT "liberty and justice for all." Don't shit in my ice cream and tell me it's chocolate.

  • fuck the FLAG. I'm Jamaican. :)

    ..A Jamaican teen

  • i don't say it because i British lol

  • What an amazing kid with an equally amazing family!

  • I´m 10 years old and that was kinda precocious.

  • I second his motion.

  • Disgusting! Homosexuality is an abomination accord to God. This is satan trying to make these sodomites more acceptable in society.

  • @kiwichristian2009 Just so you know the bible arent the words of god.

  • @EmoVampire013 They are the words of God told to the writers!

  • @Amtrak504 And what proof do you have of that?

  • @EmoVampire013 Read it and see.

  • @kiwichristian2009 you are fucking crazy there is no magical man in the sky the bible is a made up fairy tale the only reason we have religion is because people like you are afraid of death

  • @smashbro47 Hello friend. Here is a riddle so difficult that atheists can't answer it, yet so simple a child can understand it.......

Name one message which DID NOT come from a mind.

  • "With all due respect... you can go jump off a bridge"

I LOVE this kid!!!!!!!! I would love to have witnessed that

  • THIS NIGGA LOOK LIKE HARRY POTTER

  • @jordanryhme omfg lololol

  • wow i didnt even know what gay was in 5th grade... we didnt call each other gay or anything wow this kids school sucks

  • This kid is a nerd. It is SO ADORABLE! :) Woot woot. Good job, Little Dude. Your dad has got to be so proud.

  • Good for him, he's a smart kid who knows what he wants to do and how to do it, and he isn't at all selfish. He could've just gone along with the rest and said it, but no, he decided he wasn't going to conform. Respect to you, kid!

  • When did you decide you were not going to stand up a recite the pledge ? I decided yesterday, since my dad told me I was a fag..

  • @badgersrule2201 shut up if hes a nerd your a dumb ass jerk

  • Not just the 'pledge,' but everything about this country is a filthy lie.

  • The dad was like, smirking the entire time. ew.

  • I have my own reasons for not pledging. For one, I don't have any trust or respect to our government. Secondly, I believe you should never pledge your loyalty to a country, unless you absolutely mean it. Not to mention as an atheist, I would be pledging to the idea of "under God" which is against my beliefs. If you don't truly mean what is in the pledge, you shouldn't say it.

  • @RedSandStudios I'm an atheist to and I say the pledge but take my hand off my heart when in says "under God"

  • @RedSandStudios the pledge is not about the government #1#2 i have to agree with your second reason but number 3 under god can take on many meanings....... as you as an atheist should know that our species developed religions most almost all have a heaven and most almost all have a "god" well god lives in heaven in most religions and heaven is the place that in all those religions that all people in the religion aims for. and in most religions heaven is the stars and the sky....

  • ...not bad.

  • way to go

  • Harry Potter wannabe.NERD

  • If you do not believe me look at our past, see how much hate and violence we humans have for each other. And think, can we not for what little time of peace we have, let love reign? It is what we as brothers and sisters of the world as a whole need. We may not deserve love, as not many deserve happiness but why would we deny it to others? That is the greatest evil, the greatest sin anyone could ever commit.

  • That is a brave boy! I believe that all are and should be equal. Those who do not believe that everyone deserves love are the ones that do not deserve love. No sane human being would deny love, the greatest treasure our race has, to another human being. We are all human, just because we are different colors or sexuality's means nothing in the grand tapestry of things.

  • we never voted on heterosexual marriage.. why should we have to vote for same sex marriage?

  • gays dnt get any rights they die

  • @Funkidx38 I will never support gay rights because it is immoral. It's not worse than any other sin, but it is still a sin.

What happened to morality in this country.

  • @SamuelDMorgan Homosexuality isn't a sin. Sorry, but actually study Biblical terms.

  • @Kiwinil Please read the following verses (in no particular order):

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10

    Leviticus 18:22

    Leviticus 20:13

    Romans 1:26-27

  • @SamuelDMorgan Alright, here we go;

In Corinthians, Paul uses an obscure Greek Word, malakoi, which has been translated into English as "Homosexual" ever since the 1950s. But, here's the thing; there's no word for homosexuals in Ancient Greek (& Hebrew), meaning any such use of the word in any English translation is in fact, incorrect. Instead, the word used by Paul, is more likely to refer to a sort of effeminate male prostitute, or hairless young child, not like monogamous homosexuals today.

  • @SamuelDMorgan Now for Leviticus; Homosexuality itself is never labelled "a sin". Leviticus is a 'holiness code', which means it's a list of behaviors that people of faith find offensive in a certain place & time. Thus, the code was written for priests only, & its 1st intent was to set the priests of Israel above neighbouring priests. Homosexuals were an "abomination", which means they were seen as unclean in a certain time period, not sinful.....

  • @SamuelDMorgan .... This code is the exact same reason why it was an abomination to have round haircuts, tattoos, working on the Sabbath, wearing garments of mixed fabrics, and eating pork or shellfish. The list of laws goes on, but they don't apply to the world today, as Leviticus was not written for the world today.

  • @SamuelDMorgan And that leaves Romans. It is unnatural for a man to lie with a man, as he would with a woman. This blatantly applies to heterosexuals who deviate for passion, as homosexuals would not lie with a man "like they would a woman", because lying with a woman would be unnatural for them. Paul wrote this verse after visiting a temple of Aphrodite, Diana, & other pagan fertility gods, where the priests practised bizarre drunken sexual practises, which would normally be unnatural.

  • @SamuelDMorgan I would like to have gone into far more depth, but Youtube comments aren't the place to allow it. May I also recommend a film, which is up on Youtube itself, called Prayers for Bobby, and that through it you'll come to realise how damaging and anti-Christian bigotry is.

    /watch?v=oZT9b9xp2DU

Meanwhile let me tell you that gay people love Christ as equally as any straight Christian does :D

God bless, and enjoy your day!

  • :') <3 This boy, is amazing..

  • liberty and justice for all doesnt apply to how individuals treat each other. it means legally they have the same rights.

  • This kid is such a gaywad

  • Oh ya, the kid is going to be sitting down until liberty and justice for all comes to the realilty. HE'S GOING TO BE SITTING DOWN FOR A LONG TIME!!!

  • I don't think any kid should be forced to say the pledge of allegiance. That right there from the time they walk into kindergarten is turning them into ZOMBIE SLAVES. I support pride in this country but i really think saying the pledge of allegiance should be optional. Saying the pledge of allegiance, i believe is another form of brainwashing. I mean is the school day going to be any different if they don't say it.

  • what a faggot.

  • I agree

  • Will Phillips is my hero. I'd like to see if he's still holding out 2 years later.

  • Liberty is not license, little boy (who is clearly being used for publicity and brainwashed by his parents).

"Don't take down a fence before you know the reason it was put up" is not a concept for kids to understand. Laws are conventions that may seem unfair to some for instance, those who have an urge to drive on the left side of the street or those who want to marry their dog or gerbil.

  • I am a private teacher. About one hour I will have a meeting with a principal of one my students. Problem... he is 10yr old over weight and he refuse to do some martial art cause others make fun of him. His teacher forces him, so I told him to ask her write down that he must do it. When she tells him no, he wrote down on his book that she has been mistreating him, so she grabs the book and read it to the whole class very loud. He has been target for other kids and victim of bulling before.

  • I must admit I'm pretty jealous. I wish I was this smart at the age of 10. Fantastic example of how people should act and think. Good luck in the future, friend!

  • oh my god i love this kid i wanna be a lawyer too and i belive the plege is a lie well the end is god i love this video

  • oh my god i love this kid i wanna be a lawyer too and i belive the plege is a lie well the end is

  • While I support this kid, you have to wonder - he is a small kid with glasses trying to get equal rights for gays and lesbians... wouldn't the bullies of the school rag big time?

  • my future president, I wish to congragulate you on your 12th birthday. You have my support. lol

  • If people let children recite mantras, they have to be prepared that at some point a smart kid starts thinking about what the words actually mean.

  • his grammar is significantly inclined :DD

  • People need to listen to this kid and not some stupid ass Christian spewing hate!!!

  • this kid for president!

  • i'm not lezbion, but he's right!!that's what i think every day at the pledge!

  • OMG!!!!! i LOVE this kid! He's smarter than many adults I've met <3. This really gives me hope for the future.

  • The next thing you know, Our flag will be changed to look like a rainbow.

  • This is great!

  • his dad is like omfg wtf are you doing

    his dad feels ashamed :/

  • If i were that child's father i would feel like a failure. I would be ashamed of myself for not raising him properly and thinking that this perversion is an acceptable way of life. Pretty soon the child molesters will start saying "i was born this way i cant help it". Now were going to have to accept all forms of unnatural disgusting behavior. And how dare this child be told its acceptable to disrespect our nation because what he "feels" is right. Its the in thing for Americans to hate America

  • @Patriot0509 One can only hope that you aren't anyone's father cause you are one ignorant human being.

Equating two consenting adults to some adult molesting a child is such an absurd reach, and you probably don't even realize it.

  • The Star Spangled Banner which was written in 1814 as well as America the Beautiful which was written in 1895 both mention God, and putting our trust in God as a nation. Also homosexuality does affect a society in a negative way, and as far as financial problems President Obama has funded gay rights organizations to teach in schools. If you ask me teaching children they may be gay at that age when they done even know what sexuality is, is child abuse. You're Perverting young mind with garbage

  • @Patriot0509

Your logic is non-existent and your facts are all wrong. What do two songs have to do with the pledge of allegiance? Nothing? And exactly how does homosexuality affect society in a negative way? If anything it is homophobia that affects society in a negative way--and that's what you are promoting.

  • everybody be so quick to run to the bible but it also say GOD IS THE JUDGE OF MAN SINS! IT SAYS LOVE THY NEIGHBOR! & ALOT MORE OF WHAT SOME OF YU IGNORANT PPL SHOULD DO BUT DNT DO!!! EVERYBODY SO BUSY ATTACKING GAYS ATTACK WORLD HUNGER, ATTACK THE FALLING ECONOMY, ATTACK GREATER ISSUES & STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE GAYS!!

  • Pledge of Allegiance also says "One Nation Under God" And I'm pretty sure it says in the bible it is sinful for people to have same-sex relationship. Before people begin to hate me... I believe gays and lesbian should have the right to marry.

  • @Elpolloloco30

The "under God" part was only added into the pledge in the 1950's. It's not a part of the original pledge.

  • @Mystylplx look up Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful

  • @Patriot0509

What do those have to do with the pledge of allegiance? Your non-sequiter aside the fact remains--the words "under God" were only added to the pledge in the 1950's.

  • @Mystylplx just the fact that acknowledging God at the head of our country was long before the pledge of allegiance in the 1950's you moron. i guess you were too stupid to get my point and put two and two together in the first place.

  • @Patriot0509

People can acknowledge whatever they want in songs, you moron. The pledge of allegiance is a different thing. No kids have to sing America The Beautiful or even the Star Spangled Banner before school every day. And the fact still remains--the words were not part of the original pledge.

There's a little thing called "separation of church and state." Look it up.

  • @Mystylplx you know what separation of church and state means idiot? It means the government cant take the side of religion, but it also cant be against it. The government must stay NEUTRAL. But that isn't what happens anymore. Kids cant pray in school if they want to. And "separation of church and state" allows praying in school. You're acting like just because the pledge of allegiance didnt have one nation under god added until 1950 that god was never acknowledged in the first place.

  • @Patriot0509

Nonsense. Kids can pray in school if they want to--the school just can't make them do it. It's exactly that kind of dishonest hysterical baloney that makes your case so absurd--no one has ever said kids can't pray in school.

As for the pledge--kids are made to say it. The "under God" part violates the establishment clause of the first amendment. Period.

  • I'm not against anybody except those who stand against America. This kid is just terrible and is probably brainwashed by his progressive anti American parents. Honestly listen to yourselves. You're praising a kid who is disrespecting everybody who died for this great Republic. If you all love gay marriage so much, Why not just move to Canada?

  • ok i understand his point, but come on, respect the country and the men and women who fought for it and say the pledge

  • my niece is 14 and has come out recently and I hope that someday she will have the same rights as the rest of us who are straight.

  • Question @ 3:40 . Kid says that hes grown up with a lot of people that are gay. DUDE YOUR LIKE 10! Is there really other 10 year old boys kissing and having butt sex?!?! What is this world coming to...

  • @xrap414 You must not know what love is. Just because people are gay, doesnt mean they have buttsex. You're ignorant.

  • @CamericaUSA True love is between a man and a woman. Btw your mother's a snowblower.

  • @xrap414 Prove it:)

  • Daddy is cute

  • "This is the type of thing you see on CNN" DUH! MAJOR Kudos to this kid!

  • Amen.

  • He should win an award for pure awesomeness. I'll be on the lookout for him if I ever need a lawyer, I bet he'll be the only one worth hiring once he gets his degree.

  • That boy is absurdly intelligent... My mind is blown.

  • I wonder if the Father of this young man is aware of the FACT that Will's goal of becoming a Lawyer could come to fruition at a much Faster rate WithOut public 'schooling'? T'is concerning that the Father's statements about the school district/system seem so ignorant. (no insult intended).NoMatter What/Where/Any&All PUBLIC SYSTEMS are? Public schools do not aim to Educate, solely to program. Positive 'sidenote'

    Will's SHIRT? ~BRAVO~ !

ThumbsUp and a SMILE 4 (2 squared) that SHIRT

  • "friends with people who are gay"

how the hell do you know if you are gay at 10 years old? just wondering, and I support this kid 100%

  • @DaMirrorLink

He didn't say kids his own age... his parents probably have gay friends. Probably has gay family members. Something like that.

  • @DaMirrorLink he was probably referring to friends aquanted with his family.

  • Whooo! Go kid! (:

  • I refuse to stand for the pledge but for a little bit different. Everyone is losing rights every day.

  • @KJBElite You are a very smart kid! I wish more adults were like you!

  • This is great.

  • Same folks who are prasing this kid would call him a bigot or a jerk if he refused to stand and say the Pledge b/c of something you didn't believe in. Good to see we need to follow some kid

  • @dwm1812 It's not even necessarily what he's standing for. What's inspiring is that, at such a young age, he's willing to take a stand at all.

  • I was just wondering, maybe it depends on your school, but in the US can you really be forced to stand and recite the pledge?

My homeroom teacher doesn't make us recite it, but she does make us all stand up and face the flag...I would rather not stand, does anyone know if they can make you??

  • @Karopex Its your constitutional right to refuse to stand and recite the pledge, the United States was based on the idea that people are free to believe and do wat they want, Next time, tell her no, its your right to not stand to the flag. The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law “respecting an establishment of religion,” impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech.

  • @Karopex In my school you're expected to stand. I don't and the can't make you.

  • I used to refuse to say the pledge back in the 6th grade and I caught all types of BS from my teacher. To this day, at sporting events I refuse to stand and say it.

  • Will Phillips for future President!!

  • I would hire this kid as my lawyer in a heart beat! An idol!

  • @BRONTODELTA I wouldn't. He doesn't have any idea what he's doing. He should be going before Congress and reciting the Pledge over and over, and emphasing the part that states, "With Liberty and Justice For All."

You refuse to say that, you refuse to support it.

  • @Danny123456789009876 Of course he refuses to support AMERICAS definition of Liberty and Justice for all. You can't say something you don't believe. Well, you can but that makes you a hypocrite of epic standards.

  • @KingWithoutaCause, Liberty and Justice for all is not defined by a country's standards. It's defined by its meaning. My point was that if this kid (or anyone really) wants to promote equal rights for everyone, he shouldn't go around protesting the very words that best represent his cause. I completely agree with his thinking, but his actions I don't.

  • @Danny123456789009876 I understand. But who cares? The people who wrote it were racist contradicting assholes.

  • @Danny123456789009876

LOL! Because you know a 10 year old (or by now 12 I guess) is totally going to do that. Though I'm sure when he gets the chance he would love to in heartbeat.

I know you're type, have to be "that guy" and shit on everything just to do so. Get off the internet and live in a hole, the rare good story and you have to be here to try and force something bad out of it.

Maybe you should stop living. You don't have any idea what you're doing.

    TROLL!

  • @tiki2188 If you honestly think I am trolling, then you are just as much a troll by replying to me since that is what trolls want...a reply. This kid has the right idea, but the wrong method of action. There are plenty of better stories than this. Why don't you go look for them.

  • this kid is amazing i fully support him.

  • what;s a gaywad. lmfao that made my night ^.^

  • @rpksaws911 lmao!!! I know...

  • I like this kid, his voice is entertaining

  • You recite the Pledge of Allegiance because you SUPPORT "liberty and justice for all". Not because you feel there is no liberty or justice. Plus, telling someone to jump off a bridge is wrong for anyone to say, no matter what age. I wonder if this kid has been indoctrinated somehow.

  • CNN has their facts wrong, several states recognize gay civil marriage/unions...Get your facts straight.....

  • He is opposing what he is fighting for. That is funny.

  • Will's mom and dad are true pieces of shit.

  • self promoting cunt and his dweeb kid. Want throwing in the pen. We'll see about gay rights then shall we? CUNT

  • @truck5050 Lol you're calling a kid that seems light years ahead of most 10 year olds intellectually a cunt. Real classy.

  • @Pooternackle5 read it again.

  • Kids like this give me hope.

  • he's obviously well coached. not a big fan of this but ask him again in 10 years from now....not impressed with the father

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE THIS and the kid knows alot too lol

  • hes awesome an awesome kid but very very pale and thin
