  • thank you!

  • Thanks for the video comparison!

  • How to charge it?

  • Hello! very nice. where can i get this firmware und how do i install this correctly?

  • @hermannjun hi, buy the new model ! #11, 1280x720 .mov HD quality, check on youtube keychain 720 p

  • Why don't you mention what Camera#1 and Camera#3 is?

  • @i8uwithalime there are different versions of the keyring camera, but it doesn't actually say anywhere on the device, they all look the same. They all have a different time stamp on the video though, so for example, if your timestamp is yellow and on the bottom right of the video, you have a #3 camera.

  • I wish they would make a #3 but WITHOUT SD card ie just 2gb internal memory. I always have problems with High G loads and or Ejection/Impact G loads shifting the SD card just enough to frak the video.

  • yeah I got the #3. Good video and sound but clicking 4x to get to video mode is pain in the arse.

  • Nice comparison!

I've got my camera today from Ebay and I haven't charged it yet, but I want to know which version I've got.

In the manual I got with it it stands that the Image format is 640X480 and the Camera format is 1280X960, so at Chuck Lohr's site it would be version 4. But then it would have a blue LED-light, but mine is yellow. Unfortunately I can't tell how the date stamp look yet, but can you tell me which version I've got?

    Thank you!

  • i have both version 1 and 3. while 3 is great, the white balance indoors is a bit funky!! =O

  • I have buy the version 3 and arrived today.

Very good quality...better than the gumstick camera.

  • How can I know which type camera I have?

    lsusb (linux) saz this:

Bus 001 Device 005: ID 04fc:0171 Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd

  • @Gegsite

Does your camera take 640x480 video and have a date time stamp is in the upper left? If yes then it is probably a #1 camera.

Does your camera take 640x480 video and the date time stamp is in the lower right? If yes then it is probably a #2 camera.

Does you camera take 720x480 video and have a slot for a micro SD card? If yes then it is probably a #3 camera.

Does you camera take 1280x960 video? If yes then it is probably a #4 camera

  • I just got mine version 3, and it will not record sound...

Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix?

  • I am amazed by the quality difference, I have only just got my #3 camera today so as you can see I need to set the date :) I hope eventually someone figures out how to get into system mode on a #3 so we can upload the blank font.

  • Great test video. Demonstrates that the #1 camera exposure control, particularly in bright outdoor light, is not very good.
