Lawford came from a prominent British family. His father was a high- ranking British general, who unfortunately fell into scandal. The family moved to the US in the 1930s, where Lawford went on to his success in entertainment. Unfortunately, he had a penchant for drug abuse and debauchery, that went along with his ability to speak seven different languages.
"to what do you attribute your unemployment" was golden haha because about 2 minutes in I thought to myself: Peter Lawford doesn't actually have a job when you think about it... lol

"Superior Kennedy's" LOL...Was it superior when fat Teddy drowned the underling he was cheating on his wife with, and hid it for 12 hrs? LMAO, there's a reasons these scumbags have a "kennedy curse"...cheaters and liars all of them
This show was done in the late fifties, ten years before that accident. What Ted Kennedy did was inexcusable, but this was program was before any of those scandals came about. No reason to get in a huff.
part of the very superior Kennedy Family--??-- Arlene , now tell us how you really feel -- Very superior ? on what grounds ?
Because of wealth gained from bootle-booze during prohibition ? ... please - Superior Family ? I was never raised to assume any family was more or less superior ... When one is entrenched in the society of the Elite---One becomes corrupt, or better said ...decadent...Proud & Pompus --BTW - Iknow I may get feedback for saying this but it must be set right by someone
@rentatrip1 Lighten up, please; and it would be wise to judge something within the context of its time, not by contemporary standards. This is a 50 year old clip, from a time when the Kennedys were considered by most to be close to American royalty. Also, the sweeping statement that ALL members of so-called "elite" society inevitably are corrupt or decadent is insulting and prejudiced.
@rentatrip1 Frankly, I could give a fig about the Kennedys, or actual royalty, for that matter - I simply find your self-righteous tone just as loathsome as the "elitist" mentality you rail so vehemently against. Re: the personal attack on me - you assume and presume much. For someone whose family supposedly taught their members that they were no more or less superior than anyone else, you certainly seem to have more than your share of righteous entitlement and smug moral superiority.
I just LOVE to watch Ms. Arlene Francis-Gabel play this game...she's a detective in her summing up of all available clues. Watch from about 5:25 on as she cracks the case. Like a fine violinist.
I like the way he raises his voice too, Arlene! :)

To call them all 'cheaters and liars' just makes you look like a jackass.
Good day, sir.

@tjbnyc76 - my context is from the period when this was first televised - I watched this on TV when it first aired-
I do not recon Americans should be viewed as royalty -
Kennedy is one thing but this man is not a Kennedy so he must be a brown noser like you who wish to be carried on others coat tails----
