I grew up listening to Ozzy, my mom would have her speakers laying on her stomach while she was pregnant with me, fan since the womb! To this day, I find this to be his best CD ever. Theres other songs from other CDs that are good, but this whole album RULED then and still does to this day.
In My opinion No Rest for the Wicked was his best album ever. Zakk Wylde took Ozzy's music to a whole different level. This is my favorite Ozzy song.
when i was in jr high i listened to ozz all the time, the guitar riff that starts around the 2min 45 sec, mark i thought that was fuck n awesome, hearing it 20yrs later still sounds great but everyone changes, fuck if ozzy played all of his great songs in concert it would be the longest show, i wonder how they determine what to do live? im sure everyone has gone to some concert and after it say, i wonder why they didnt do such and such song
Ozzy has never done this song live....the only songs off of No Rest For The Wicked he has done live are Miracle Man, Crazy Babies, Bloodbath In Paradise, Tattooed Dancer, and Demon Alcohol....Hero would have been bad ass live as well as Devils Daughter
@ThePopeMarijuana theres a reason for that...Zakk can play it live im sure but its more complicated than how it sounds...this song is a bitch to play as a band not in the studio...break it up. itd be a bitch to play with the harmonics and overdubs
I see @saintdlee deleted his comments.'Randy please don`t go"lmao. What a retarded moronic dumbass! You`re a disgrace to Ozzy and Ozzy fans!Go listen to some gay shit like eminem or justin bieber you faggot!
@saintdlee I`ve been listening to this song since I was 12 years old!(I`m 34 now),I think I know the lyrics to the song ,I`ve heard it probably a thousand times
I love this song always have found it by accident as i imagine most everyone else did but i have to dis agree with some of you, this is not about randy and he does not say randy please dont go, i think its "baby please dont go" this song is for the silly people who think ozzy is goin to lead them to the promise land
if rhandy rhoads is still alive. He probably will not be in the band maybe quit the band due to disagreements like jake e lee sometimes when people are still alive they dont realise how important that person is.
@saintdlee You are retarded! 'Randy please don`t go" Fuck ,talk about misinterpretation of lyrics. That would make this song suck if the lyrics were "Randy please don`t go"That`s not even logical! This song is awesome! One of Ozzy`s best!
i bought this album when it first came out and couldnt understand why this song wasnt listed on the album cause it f@$#%$# rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think this is ozzy saying to his fans hes not the messiah so find out for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a cool hidden track. But during the days of vinyl... it was not included. Only the cassettes and compact discs included it. It's still 1 of my favorite Ozzy songs to this day. Yes, I agree that it should get radio play. I never hear it on the radio. But then again... there are many songs of his that should get radio play and you don't get to hear it.
This was released as a 12' before NRFTW. It was a white label Promo, With Fire in the sky, Hero, Tattooed Dancer And YOU SAID IT ALL... It has a red jacket with a sticker on it... Look it up. i got my 2 copys signed, Plus my unopened One. its entitled Hero
Ok To All you Twat Waffle Douche Nozzles arguing...heres some new Info That Nobody has spoken About. This Song Was Released Before No Rest For The Wickid As A 12' PROMO. it has tattooed Dancer, Fire In the Sky, Hero and YOU SAID IT ALL! it has a red Jacket with a sticker...Look it up, Find a copy, i Own 3... 2 signed, 1 unopened
Ah, I remember this was the "hidden track" on my NRFTW CD I had back in the 1990's...."I don't wanna disappoint the fools no more...." Now bang your head to that!
Your a moron, I love Ozzy and Zakk. BLS is the best thing to happen to metal since 2000, his style is so different from everyone else, and if you actually listened to a few of their cd's, he make's some pretty badass shit. I like BLS better than Ozzy believe it or not.
@Aic1944 Your fucking retarded im pretty sure BLS Sucks!! Yea Zakk is great but the fucking bad sucks!! We all know he did a lot better with Ozzy Osbourne and yea i listened to a couple songs from BLS And OMFG I Was gonna shoot myself!!! Zakk was also in the movie RockStar great movie but u wouldnt fucking like it ass bag shitty bitch
Alright man, for one I wasn't even trying to be a dick or anything, seem's like your just being an immature moron. We both agree Zakk is a badass. So stop trying to be cool cussing me out. You're just riding Ozzy's cock. Zakk Wylde has been playing with ozzy until this year, so where the fuck have you been? You just don't respect his style, considering you think his best stuff is with Ozzy. He has great stuff with and definetely without Ozzy. There are a few song's that may throw you off when
you first listen to them, that's what a few did for me. I can say after listening to the shit, Zakk Wylde is an amazing musician, and at the forefront of metal. Your just a dick.
Well the fact that Ozzy and a few others have put hidden tracks on the end of a disk and it starts playing after the last song and also the fact that they're not included in the playlist makes me think that this is a way of them showing to us that we shouldn't rush it when it comes to music....I believe this is the reason why some songs last like 4.20 and the music stops at 3.20 or so...Like Ozzy's saying to me wait for a minute and think about what you've heard...what do you think?
@MultiMiracleMan : Well, I don't know... Maybe some "Major" jackass thinks it sells better if the track shows 4:20 instead of 3:20 ? Or could it be like those movies with a "stinger" for the diehards who watch on after everybody's left ?
btw on my last comment in no way did I say his other songs were soulless, just this one has more of a depth to connect, more of a purpose. I am just clarifying that so the hardcore Ozzy fans don't hit me with thumbs down and trolling remarks :P
I love this hidden track, I found NRFTW for 5 bucks at a pawn shop and I brought it home, listened to it. This song came up at the end after I thought it was over, and I was like wow. I don't think its a waste. I think its known to few and the few who know this and can understand the message behind it make it more of a connective song to his fans, more of a personal message for him to get out, and not just another soulless song to sell out to the media you know? That is what makes it great
When I purchased NRFTW, I didn't know about this track. On my first listen to the album, I was about to take out the tape after "Demon Alcohol" ended, and suddenly this starts playing outta nowhere! And I was in awe, not only because I was befuddled as to what this song was and why it wasn't on the tracklisting, but moreso over how outstanding it was. As great as NRFTW was, this song was beyond anything else on the album. To this day, I'm still of that opinion. What an unexpected joy "Hero" is.
@rcnuckinfuts From what I heard, this song was supposed to be a "BONUS TRACK" if you purchased the CD. This was back in the days of Vinyl and Cassettes.
@rcnuckinfuts Yeah they need to play more of ozzy's lesser heared songs on the radio and MTV should go back to the old cool music of the 80's and get rid of this NEW SHIT!! Fuck POP music!
