it is one combo. when ryu is hurt a bit his life bar has 3 colours. blue=life left

red=amount of damage taken

black=amount life which is going to be healed.

fyi his life bar just healed.

btw that really is the ut for that weapon

If you do the UT with vigoorian flail, while spamming Y during the technique, you can rack up a 48 hit combo on a single target.

Up to about 80 on multiple targets.

And if your fast enough, you can do another quick UT by charging essence without breaking your combo.

Nothing was "spliced" together. His health was restored from some nearby blue essence. Despite the fact that this combo is very simple he rapidly tapped the "Y" button during the Ultimate Technique to append more strikes. Everyone who plays Ninja Gaiden 2 knows about this trick.
