Of course it does, it has a massive amount of open ocean to build ground swell, better underwater topography and a warmer waters. If you're going to slate another country because of its geography, then you really need to get out more. Perhaps you should consider the fact that British surfers go out whatever the conditions, regardless of rain, sleet or snow because we know that we have to make the best of what we have, regardless of conditions or temperature.

Swansea itself has the wide, wide sweep of Swansea Bay, culminating with the landmark of Mumbles. The popular Langland bay joins Rotherslade to form a bigger sandy beach at low tide and good surf conditions. Another popular beach for surfers is nearby Caswell Bay.

Actually it's not. The British government had the Kilbrandon Commission investigate the matter in the 1970s, and they stated quite clearly that Cornwall is more than a mere county.

That said, some English people used to think Wales was part of England too. And Scotland more or less. Things change, and they will in Cornwall!
