@BLSNunsWithGunsLJA At this point, Chaos 2 were not reigning champs. However, they were veterans with Chaos in series 2, and I think they were in series one aswell.
@AidanLunn chaos 2 seemed to cope, mind you, they already had the confidence from being reigning champions where as hypnodisc had never achieved anything.
@nfsfanAndrew exactly!!!! I hated teams who only wanted to win - teams like Razer, HD, Chaos 2, Diotoir etc had a bit of fun, didn't take it too seriously and therefore made great viewing - and these were the fans favourites too.
It's like watching football, you can either play attacking, free-flowing football and keep trying to score more goals, or just go 1-0 up and then sit back and defend your lead for 80 minutes.
@henaz999 100% agree - I think by series 5 and 6 though, Razer had sadly lost the fun factor and played to win, I then went off them quite a lot. But These were the days of Robot wars when fun happened and it wasnt all about winning :D
@nfsfanAndrew Yeah I bloody hate flipper robots. Fair enough if the flipper is more like a backup weapon used for self righting, but it does no damage unless the other robot is incredibly flimsy, so fights get really boring.
I loved the one fight I saw where it was 4 flipper robots vs growler, CChrome and Mr Psycho, they flipped growler and CC went off silly somewhere, but Mr Psycho avenged his dog by delivering a great hammer blow to one of the flippers that made it crunch and start to break.
i like how hypnodisc flipped beserk back over. i hate to see battles won just because the other bot couldn't flip back over. unless its a total flaw where get 100% stuck upside down.
Damage scores higher than style, control and aggression. Hypno sent a gash down the side of Berserk, causing more damage. Sure, Hypno was the favourite but in the end that's how it works. Look for Storm II vs Typhoon 2 from Series 7 Robot Wars. Closest match, came down to damage.
strangely, no it doesn't. it's a long technical explanation but simply as long as the weight is the same it should maintain balance. And it does. With great effect.
yea thats true with the weight. but the one on the side is on the very edge of the disc. the one on top shouldn't put the same weight as the other tooth cuz the one on the edge of the disc has more weight leverage
Although that is true, the weight of the blades themselves is not significant enough to move the disc in a different way. Also, there is another explanation video where they show the connection between the chassis and the disc. It is mounted on a sort of pole connecting to a driveshaft. Together, these help maintain stability of the disc. At least I think that's how it works, don't quote me on it.
"It was damage that won"? I'm not seeing Hypnodisc causing any damage to Berserk 2 there, the armor's too thick. If anything they won it on control and aggression.
If you want to bring back robot wars please google search "bring back robot wars", click the first result, and follow directions. Thank you for your support.
right now berserk 2 is just a steel case with wheels, their weapons are not powerful enough to do anything, the weapons almost seem as though they were an afterthought!
Yeah, but it actually did pretty well. The forklift worked well against Tut's Revenge and Ally Gator and it held up really well against Hypnodisc, but it was that spike that took them out.
Berserk 2 did really well, good armour but sadly that spike flipped them over, and they had to do a lot to try and get some points. Good win for Hypno Disc. 5 Stars.
If this shoe ever returns, I don't want to go against Hypno-Disc!

If Razor had Hypno-Disc blade on the opposite side of his claw, that would be one hell of a robot" I'm here to fuck shit up' is what I would say!

what won it for them was their popularity and the fact that they had a better weapon and would of probably gone further then the other team

why did hypno disc have one tooth on the edge of the disc and one on top? wouldn't that offset the disc and make it unstable?
