  • My favorite part of this movie is whenever Monty comes into contact with a person the scene is replayed a few times, it just shows how important the people in your life are. Spike Lee did an amazing job with this movie. Thanks for making this.

  • wow, you captured an amazing movie in 7 minutes!!! too much props was always given to the mirror scene, but you got it right...it was about monty and naturel

  • song name?

  • This movie should put on the good way all of those people who are about to enter in any illegal activity and criminal stuff, the message is clear, you commit crimes or drugs or whatever illegal, you will pay tremendous consequences for the rest of your life. so, fuckin criminals and drug dealer worldwide, watch out mutherfuckers criminals! Justice will catch you all sooner or later and yout life will be a nightmare! like

  • i am dieing 2 know what was the name of the club they went 2

  • Edward Norton would make a good Cool Hand Luke if there wad a remake.

  • this was a good movie bc it really rings true to life...most people are totally self-centered assholes, which can be seen in philip seymour hoffman's character...his buddy is facing a long prison sentence and he's too busy crying about his women problems...and cosi was edward norton's right-hand man, and he ratted him out, which, sadly, most people would do in his situation...the only true friend that edward norton had in this movie was his dog

  • I love your video! 25th hour is a great movie and Norton

  • does he eventually go to jail at the end??? i haven't seen...

  • Yes...there is a brief interlude where it shows him possibly taking the easy way out. (His father offers to loose his bar since it is held as bail) The strength of his character shines through and he decides to do his time. Movie ends right as he is around the corner to jail.

  • than you very much on the answer.

  • I love the video I loved the movie and I have always loved this song its so beautiful. nice job

  • first of all im sorry most of the comments youve received are about the original works you decided to use and not your work itself, except sexy kitten, who makes a good point about how they come together to "[show] their love so much".

  • i think what shes trying to say is that when these two pieces come together the feeling is overwhelming! both have an enormous amount of emotion limited by the circumstances: monty's love for naturelle by his jail sentence, transatlanticism by it's steady tempo and dynamics. nice eye/ear finding this great combination!

  • however, there were a couple scenes i thought you could have been more careful about controlling the film audio from competing with the song, even if it means cutting audio, or atleast using a lower volume.

  • (read the earlier ones first, this might be backwards.. idk.. i tried replying to myself but idk if it worked lol)

just curious, how much of this was spliced by hand to the music? i noticed a couple points you decided to keep spike lee's rhythm and shot selection because it already worked perfectly! i love it when that happens. but my question is: was the majority of the film like that or did it take more precise consideration in editting?

  • As for my vision I see it as their love holds no bounds and how Monty looks back on the times they shared together (and won't be able to share together) as he's on his way to prison.

  • It's not a problem! I love any and all comments I get whether it's a positive view or a negative. You took your time to comment and I appreciate that.

To answer your question, I tried to keep Spike's vision in tact. I used his cuts but did make some cuts of my own. It was hard to edit this music video because of the limited resources that I had. At the time, I had mad this with the standard video software that comes with Mac. Now I use Sony Vegas.

  • Nice video!, this is a great movie, one of my favorite, edward Norton is awesome!!! I ♥ you Edward!!!! hehehe... gracias por subir el video, esta realmente bueno... ^_^¨

It took a few minutes to

get into the song, but then I really

    enjoyed it. 5 stars.

  • Thanks for your opinion. I wasn't sure about the song useage until it really picks up right before the second verse.

  • what's the name of this song?. it is great song

  • Transatlanticism by Death Cab For Cutie

  • sucha great video great song great video this movie was so terrific the only thing is the way u ended it wooda been so sick if it was him walking away when his father drove away after he took him to his new city but overall 4 stars amazing

  • Hey thank you for your thoughts.

In the movie all of the images Monty has while his father talks in the last ten minutes of the movie is the life he would have had. I was confused by the ending and thought that's what happened but it wasn't until I listened to Spike's Lee commentary did I find out that, that was the life Monty would have had and in the end he actually did go to prison.

  • i think the song is great, don't listen to him. nice video

  • Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it. I would have been hurt if I actually produced the song.

  • Well I'm glad you took the time to type that up. Thank you for your opinion.

  • This crap song doesn't go with 25th hour at all. Spike

    Lee would be very pleased.
